Born and raised here in Lexington. With family and friends that have played basketball at UK. There are definitely people who don’t care if Rupp name is removed. Apologies. It’s not saying that they hate Rupp or UK. Just don’t care. Again, respectfully.
Can you please share why this is important to state? Just curious how some people not caring is important to share. If they don’t care, then I assume, they wouldn’t mind the name Rupp Arena staying put forever. Correct Rev?
Well for context purpose this stemmed from saying people dislike of Brooks cause of his Rupp comments. Furthermore, just saying he isn’t alone. Raised here I’ve only witnessed the affinity for Rupp through certain people. In my background no one really cares and some have played at the university, and some of us have graduated from the university as well.
That’s said, we are all aware of what Rupp did for UK basketball. No one is discounting that. That’s why I said respectfully.
Give us some ex player names that you say don't care if Rupp's name comes down. Don't just throw something against the wall and hope it sticks. Personally, you have not impressed me. So, share the names with us.
Impressed? Not trying to impress you or anyone else. And seeing the hate y'all give Keion, why would j name them so they can be subjected to the same hate.
I'm just speaking a fact I know, from this experience called life. You can choose to believe it or not. As these post suggest our experiences are different and that is okay. Some of us don't hold and was never taught to have an affinity for RUPP.
And yes two former players. Before the 90’s. One I grew up with the family the other is relative.

It's all contingent on Jackson. If Jackson returns, Keion will leave. If Jackson goes, Keion stays. Once we know Jackson's decision, we will know Brooks'. Obviously Jackson is maybe higher upside, but either way we are fine.
I don’t think it’s one or the other, we can use both and both would have a leg up on everyone for minutes.
Just not enough minutes. Jackson would start for sure and Toppin honestly gives you more upside than Brooks. Then you have Collins and Oscar who will play a lot, and Ware and Hopkins, who no one knows how much they'll play. Keion is smart enough to look at that and realize he isn't getting more than 20mpg most days. If you take Jackson out, things look much more open.
