Any updates on Dontaie? Has he returned to any full court practices? Or is he pretty much a lock for RS now?

Thank you. Hope to see him on the court soon. FYI...got to meet him in person a few times while he was at Pendleton County. He truly seems to be a great young man.

You know I would love for this kid to come in a play and help this team, I am just not sure its going to be this year. Next year I think he will get major playing time .

Days of RS are over at UK I think. I personally do not expect him to play this year. Last Cal said, he's not even a full go at practice yet, until that happen, he ain't playing.

He went through warm-ups in Las Vegas both games with a knee brace. He wasn't moving great, but was shooting. Unless he can guard on the perimeter and knock down jumpers, I can't see how he can help until he is 100%.

I dont think we'll be blowing any teams out from here on out so we might not see Allen play at all this season. Cal's not about to let a guy come in and show Whitney up.....gotta get Whitney drafted.
See some criticism’s of our offense or play I’m fine with, but this kind of conjecture is completely unwarranted and you are just making things up to cause i stir. In the last 3 games Whitney has been 7th on the team in minutes played with 7 minutes, 16 minutes and 10 minutes respectively. It’s not like he is seeing anything close to starter minutes

We probably won’t see Dontaie Allen on the court this year.

But Mecha Dontaie Allen is almost ready to go. Just one part on backorder.

He gets more minutes than Brooks or Juzang. does he not?

Cal has literally said he's going to play Whitney and let him figure this thing out. He didnt say the same thing about Juzang or Brooks.... why not?

He and brooks have been about the same other than Georgia tech when brooks played 26 minutes to Whitney’s 7.. juzang has seen slightly less but if he starts hitting shots I’m sure he would see more. Do you prefer he just give up on Whitney after 11 games? He is playing less than 15 minutes a game recently...

cal gives guys he thought would be stars a much longer leash.... its just a fact. Skal , Diallo, Whitney. Brooks should be playing every single minute of Whitney's PT... Whitney's offense hurts the team and he doesnt even play good defense....

Wildcat in St. Louis. I agree with you. Cal played the Harrison’s too long against Wisconsin and it got us beat. And he admitted it. With that team and a decent offensive system we should have averaged 90 points per game. We struggled offensively in way too many games that season.

No necessarily...Brooks was weak and pitiful as anyone last game. I'll agree though hes better than whitney at this point

It must have been a really bad ACL..Most players are back to playing in 1 year...
Derek Anderson was back ready in 2 and a half months. LOL, that was Pitino's greatest lie. Makes zero sense with all the knowledge we have of that injury but people still tell that fairytale to this day.

If he doesn't play, then he has redshirted. You dont declare or apply for a redshirt. You just get 5 years in which to play 4 seasons.
I guess, I just don't think they are gonna say he is redshirting or that X player will be redshirting unless he gets injured while at UK.

I'll help you. Hes making fun of cal for pushing people out when they arent ready
It's a beyond fair criticism
What that poster posted was not fair criticism. It was pure guessing with a negative tone with a slap at Cal.
Fair criticisms have been posted on here, me included. Saying Cal won't play Allen because he wants to get Whitney drafted is pure speculation and agenda.

DA was dunking the basketball and moving very well in warmups on senior day, in March of 1997. That much I know for a fact.

I talked to Derek Anderson about a year ago at a fundraiser. He confirmed that he was fully recovered from the ACL injury and could have played in the national championship game. I actually think Pitino did the right thing by not playing him.

No chance, zero! He wasnt even ready to play for the Cavs at the start of the next season.

Not accurate. Whitney is playing more 3, and his only competition is Juzang who Cal gave opportunity. Except he completely failed.

As bad as Whitney has been, Juzang has been worse.

For Keion, he's competing against EJ/Sestina. Different situation.

Cal's said all season that Brooks is a 3 in his mind.

Brooks: 192 minutes 71 Points 47%fg 27% 3pt 41 rbs 3 steals and 4 blocks
Whitney: 189 minutes 57 points 41.5%fg 31% 3pt 28 rbs 5 steals and 2 blocks

Brooks has definitely been better no question about that. Personally i don't think it has been drastic enough to just give up on him (whitney) to this point though. i think a strong argument could be made the minutes should be split 65/35 or so though
