I thought farmers woke up to the cock, not the clock?Totally agree, It’s the farmers that need the extra day light in the early morning hours.
why would a farmer even own a clock?

I know some do you?I thought farmers woke up to the cock, not the clock?

no. hence the question.I know some do you?
If you live in the northern part of the country, you love daylight saving. Our days are so short in the winter that extra hour in the afternoon would be nice.
Yeah it had nothing to do with farmers and it never made sense to me. Sun up until sundown was the same no matter what time it wasMy dad who was a dairy farmer hated the time change with a passion, it took the cows a week or better to adjust. Dad would say daylight saving time was made for the Drs and lawyers so they could play golf longer in the summer time
I HATE the hour change...it is so annoying. You do know you don't actually gain daylight, right? Like, it just moves. You know that right? So, maybe wake your azz up a little earlier...or sleep a little later...or whichever one seems to fit your agenda at the time.
Point being, for everyone who wants it in the morning, there's someone else who wants it in the evening. And the issue at hand is, having daylight savings time only makes about 50% of the people happy while making it a beating for about 100% of the people.
I hope not. The time change is a pain one day once per year and it makes a BUNCH of sense the remaining 364 days.Don't think the Senate passes ?
Conserves some energy as well.I thought they created daylight savings for the farmers? More daylight to work (aka sit back to collect their subsidy checks and complain).
Don’t believe everything you read. Cows really don’t care. It takes exactly one day for them to adjust. This was a HUGE issue for them, I have read about that.
It’s not a problem. IF the dairyman was really that worried about it, he could change the milking time 15-20 minutes over 4-5 days.Milk production schedule gets out of whack I'm assuming. Animals don't know how to just suck it up and adjust. They're on a schedule that gets disrupted. I've never had dairy cows, but I've heard of other animals that get their eating all out of whack when the time changes.
Sounds like the goalposts are MOOOOOOOving.Don’t believe everything you read. Cows really don’t care. It takes exactly one day for them to adjust.
It is always dark when I get off...I don't **** with the lights on.Relieved to see our leaders are focused on the crucial issues of our existence. Personally I like it being dark in the fall when I get off, it's a great excuse to be lazy after all the work of summer is wrapped up. Other than that, IDGAF. Current state of politics:

My dad would disagree with you. Now todays world with mega dairys the cows are a issue because they probably don’t move them very farIt’s not a problem. IF the dairyman was really that worried about it, he could change the milking time 15-20 minutes over 4-5 days.
Plus, with the mega dairys they probably just have a quick meeting with the cows to let them know that daylight savings is coming up and HR takes care of any issues. My dad would disagree with you. Now todays world with mega dairys the cows are a issue because they probably don’t move them very far
How does it conserve energy?Conserves some energy as well.
I live in the north and hate daylight savings, particularly during summer nights. There is no good reason to have natural light in the sky at 10:00 pm.If you live in the northern part of the country, you love daylight saving. Our days are so short in the winter that extra hour in the afternoon would be nice.
That was always a big WWII (I think) topic. How does it conserve energy?
Turn on the lights player! It is always dark when I get off...I don't **** with the lights on.
I have spent so long lying to girls and telling them that I am Amish...I can't blow my cover.Turn on the lights player!
It was dark when the bus came in the mornings anyway in the winter months. DST would make essentially no difference.Nah. Farmers can get their hours in no matter what the clock says. DST was for school kids who are tied to school times and adults wanted more daylight in the morning for school kids during late Fall and winter.
