Splashdown is anticipated to be off the coast of Pensacola. Is there any chance that you could see re-entry off the beach. I assume not since it’s an object the size of pontoon boat during daylight.

Pensacola is the backup landing spot. The first landing zone is off the coast of Alabama. Iread a post by James Spann that said visibility should be 90 miles but you will kinda be looking into the sun. The capsule will appear as a small dot but having a good lense will be better.

Splash down around 1:48.

Yeah, we are thinking about cruising down to Pickens. If anything we’ll just have a nice trip to the beach.

Don't know but it's taking the recovery ship 3 hours to get to the splashdown site, however far that would be. Maybe 40 miles? With good visability, might be able to see the parachute cluster.

Coverage is on the NASA Channel as well as CSPAN.

Probably more interesting to watch on TV anyway. NASA and SpaceX are already streaming on their respective YouTube channels as well.

20-25 minutes until splashdown. The announcer said a plane will have a thermal camera view shortly.

Yeah. Very surprised at the lack of security keeping sightseers away.

All the previous splashdowns have been out in the middle of the Pacific - this one was easy for "tourists" to get to being so close to shore.
We went to Pickens to at least see the recovery boat come in but parking was insane so we hit our normal spot in between Navarre and Pensacola Beach after Mop said it’s going to be 33 miles out. I knew we wouldn’t be able to see it. We saw at least 5 cars stuck in the sand trying to park off the shoulder in Pickens and at least another 5 between Portofino and Opal Beach. As soon as I saw all the cars I told my wife, I bet there is an armada of boats out there (especially with 1 foot swells) trying to get close to that splashdown.
