I read Cael challenged the Minto - Haines seed. Anyone got info on challenges and procedure and time the official bracket comes out?

Well he has only loss to the elite guys and has been right there with them even splitting with returning national finalist Spratley. I don’t know if he will but he has just as good of shot as any after the top 2 guys.

Or how about the fact he's ranked 7th and the B1G seeds are "unique" at best? My goodness, people.

He challenged that because he can. It was obvious and it really doesn't matter.

Iowa got fooked on a few seeds but because of a chitty system there wasn't much opportunity for our guys to bump. Maybe if they had wrestled more than a handful of matches we'd have a leg to stand on, but we ducked our own damn tourney, so you get what you earn right?

Who knew that NW Wrestling was smarter than everyone else in the Big10?

Oh, and just for good measure, we like our guys!

Re-visiting the seeding changes.

Of the 9 pairs where a seed was flipped, 6 of those went chalk (the wrestler who was bumped up outplaced the wrestler who was dropped down), and 3 went the opposite.

  • At 125 Jore Volk was dropped from #5 to #6 with Ayden Smith going up from #6 to #5. Volk finished second, Smith finished eighth.
  • At 165 Mike Caliendo was dropped from #2 to #3 with Joey Blaze going up from #3 to #2. Caliendo finished second, Blaze finished third.
  • At 165 Lenny Pinto was dropped from #10 to #11 with Eddie Enright going up from #11 to #10. Pinto finished sixth, Enright DNPed.
