Any official word, or anyone with inside info hearing anything about his health and possible availability vs Stanford and/or a hopeful trip to the CWS?

Bo bounds interviewed foxhall AND Steve Robertson this morning for a combined 30 minutes and he didn’t ask one single question about JT and his status. Like how is that possible? He is truly awful.

Maybe I’m reading way too much into this. But being that the injury occurred on Friday afternoon, I thought it was weird to hear Lemonis say on Sunday that it was still way too early to know anything about Ginn at that point

Maybe that just meant that he wouldn’t be able to have a thorough evaluation until early this week, but the lack of any kind of update does not bode well in my opinion. If I’m placing a bet, I fear he’s shut down, but I’ve been dead wrong about guesses like this before

Small wins it Saturday afternoon and Plumlee, White, Smith, Leibelt and Gordon get it done on Sunday night.

They probably tell him things he can and can't ask before an interview. That's very common.

I don't think it's common for another media member to put conditions on an interview like that. I could definitely see it with Foxhall though.

That's my gut feel. But let's be honest- and I may be off on this- what's the last real quality start we got from Ginn? He did seem to fade a bit toward the end of the year.

Let's be honest....His start at A&M was his most dominant and by far his best outing of the year....he had command, location, movement, a low pitch count ..a questionable full count walk followed by a ball that was bobbled in the outfield led to the only run of the game...and the schedule was certainly back end loaded ..so the competition certainly was much better "toward the end of the year" so let's get off the noise that he faded late....

☝🏻Guy gets its. Plumlee is now #2. If State goes 2-0 this weekend, I suspect we will see plenty of JT Ginn next week in Omaha.

I did read a tweet from Steve where he quoted a Jay Ginn tweet that said he’d “see us soon” and Steve acted like it was an indication he was okay and would be ready to go.

We’ll see.

I was told an ankle at the game friday...

i posted this in another thread, but I was sitting 3 rows up above the dugout friday and literally was texting someone regarding work and l looked up and said "why is brandon smith pitching?" it literally happened that fast.

I had to leave a little early to get back home and while walking out the RF entrance I stopped to watch a couple of runs being scored....one of the guys who works on the field in some capacity, was up there and said he rolled his ankle and had nothing to do with his arm....I have no clue if this guy is correct or not, but was an older guy who seemed to be pretty confident in what he was talking about. take that for what its worth.

I saw JT after the game on Saturday and he said his arm was just sore. Said the MRI showed no injury. He said he'd be ready to go when called upon in the super regional. My expectations are that he'd be ready to pitch in game 3 on Monday or even for a couple of innings on
Sunday if necessary.

He was jumping up and down Sunday so I highly doubt that

Perhaps he was told the subject was off limits prior to the interviews.

But while we are on the topic of questions, why you are spending 30 minutes listening to something that is “awful”?

Don't know how weird that is. Seems reasonable they would let him rest until his scheduled bullpen day then evaluate how he feels.

One school of thought might be, you don't want a True Freshman

Kinda think Plumlee is our number two at this point. Fully expect him to start Game 2, and then we’d start Ginn in Game 3 if needed.

starting in a win-or-go-home game. Especially one who has displayed signs of being rattled if things go wrong early.

I'm a huge fan of JT, but I thought it was smart to start him against the 4 seed last week, and I think for the same reason you'd want to start him Saturday if he's ready to go.

Plus, Plumlee's got the... plums... to take the heat Monday if necessary.

I would rather start Plumlee at this point because we have no clue whether or not JT will be able to pitch 2 innings or 6 due to his injury issues. If we have to pull him in the 2nd or 3rd inning again, our bullpen is going to be completely shot for a game 3 before it even starts.
