Any lineup changes?

One thing for sure. I trust Forbes and his staff to put the best team on the field. But our offense sometimes is hit or miss. Especially against the pitchers we will be facing. Anyone got any lineup or batting order changes?

One I have been thinking about is leading off Hull. Seems like teams may start pitching around him some . Jake is probably the best protection we could put behind him. And he is definitely a capable bunter if the situation calls for it.
Another one I thought about though is switching Cooper and Gavin in the 3 hole. I think teams are really starting to respect Cooper’s bat. Sooo … just for fun.
1-Hull
2-Jake
3-Nicholson
4-Winslow
5-Howe
6-Gavin
7-Paulson
8-Hynek
9-Rom/French

Anyway, just bored and going to be a long week waiting for our Heels to play!! Thinking more, Hull and Jake and Cooper are going so well, I probably wouldn’t want to do anything to mess that up!!

This time of year I think you have to ask yourself who you’d want up with the season on the line. For me, that answer is still clearly Gallaher ahead of all other right handed bats on this team, which means Gallaher needs to hit in the 2 or 3 hole.

I can see an argument for Nicholson because he has been swinging a hot bat, but I’m not there quite yet on wanting him at the top of the order ahead of Gavin.

I've done what you're suggesting before to keep opposing teams from pitching around my best hitter. But, I did that when I really didn't have anything else to go with them. I do prefer a lefty in the 3 hole though.

I wouldn't mess with the line-up too much. I do like Rom vs lefties. He made a really tough catch in the right corner at state. You can always put French in as a defensive replacement late in games.

It's crazy I am even saying this, but my biggest concern is pitching. Decaro has been great all year. I am not worried about him. It is game 2 and 3. Lynch has great stuff but he has been so inconsistent this year. Of course we have Glauber and Mcduffie, but we really need 1 or 2 more guys to step up.

I agree. He has been there. Done that. And he had a good game Saturday.

Yes. The length our starters went last series was pretty concerning…. I do think they can turn it around. It is good we have 2 really good arms in the pen that can give you length.
