He needs to let his son shine on his own from now on. The kid is ultra talented we don't need him to try to convince us in such an over the top way that makes people want to see him fail. He didn't deserve that pressure. Hopefully this isn't what we are stuck doing for the next chunk of years. Waiting on this idiots next bold prediction to be wrong so he can play it off as not a big deal.
I think Lavar is a genius. His son is a really good PG and has great size for the position. He isn't however Jesus in sneakers.

I was thinking the same thing, to say no one will take Fox over his son is low class, but let's face it, Lavar IS a low class person.
Lonzo will have a long career, but honestly, with no blue tinted glasses on, I truly feel Fox will ultimately be the better player long term.
The GM who takes Ball over Fox - if one does - will rue the day.
I have disagree and call Poppa Ball a fool with his latest antic's and interview's. Lonzo will go top 5 but I don't see a major shoe company giving major $ to them. They may set a new shoe record with Skechers, Reebok, or Voits, etc.. May overtake the Starbury shoes that had lights on the bottom of them that went for $20 a pair at Big Lots! But i don't see it.

I got an ESPN alert that says he said he was glad that Alford was coming back to coach because he knows his kids and likes Alford's style of coaching.

Who knows what he's really like when not in front of a camera or mic. ESPN obviously has no problem dealing with him. His theatrics are all a marketing gimmic imo. Never even heard of the guy til about a month ago and now look, he's everywhere.

I don't think Lavar Ball is smart enough to do this as a gimmick or ploy with a different motive. I agree. He should let his son "shine on his own" but Levar is clearly consumed with building his sons' brand for Levar's own personal financial and publicity benefit. To hear him talk, it sounds like he consciously selected his wife for breeding purposes. Then, upon being born it was his strategic plan to spend hours each day molding his sons into cash producing basketball players. What Levar is doing is eerily similar to what the East German's used to do.

NBA GM's aren't stupid. I think most will agree that De'Aaron Fox (and Fultz and Dennis Smith) have higher ceilings than Lonzo. It's going to come down the preference, but Fox's performance Friday certainly didn't hurt. It's going to be splitting hairs regarding these 4 point guards.
