Brandon Knapper was good when matched with Beetle. But Beetle goes out Knapper gets lost. Harler, 37 minutes? Really. Harler is not worthy 37 minutes. The supposed good front court seemed to be fighting who would be the star of the team. Rebounding was a joke. I hope Sags doesn't fall in love with the 3. He still gets fooled by the pump fake. This team has a lot to learn.
The new guards need experience. Like most have said you just don't replace Carter and Miles and expect greatness. The defense was not there. The shooting subpar but still shot 43%.

Final four in the NIT maybe. We have a long ways to go. Bolden was the only player who looked like he wanted to win last night. Sags worked on his NBA game in the off season obviously, but he didnt show any dominance inside at all hardly. Esa was a joke and did more to help Buffalo than he did us. The WV stars did nothing. They need some experience. I expect to see major improvements, but probably not final 4 improvements.
WVUALLEN your spot on about Knapper and Beetle needing to play at same time together. That’s the best guard tandem right now. Horton needs to get some of Harler minutes.
Horton has beat out Doomes easily. Doomes won’t play here. Doomes struggling. I saw that coming. He can’t shoot and is low D1 to D2. I wasn’t impressed with his high school games I watched.

All that depends on what happens at the guard position and how other teams develop.
Buffalo is an experienced team that has won before.
When you have fought wars together it is easier to fight another one.
Because of young guards WV has not really fought a battle together until last night but they have a lot of potential once they learn how to win together.
Point of OOC basketball is to get ready for conference play.
But Jevon and Dax were easily replaceable. Anybody who believes that nonsense is flat out stupid.....
Any two starting seniors are hard to replace with underclassmen, but those two seniors are just about impossible to replace. But I will say this, Jevon and Dax weren't any better as freshmen in their first game than what we saw Friday from our freshmen.
