The more people talk about firing Frost the harder the hardcore Frost cult members beg about keeping him. It's funny at this point.

And which camp are you in this hour?
I think he very reasonably changed his mind after the three solid performances against OU, MSU, and Michigan. Then he reasonably changed it back after Minnesota. I don’t understand why people think that’s so terrible. I know that was my path.

I agree that his constant posting about firing Frost earlier in the season was obnoxious, but him changing his mind at perfectly reasonably times is just fine. A lot of people are way too stubborn to ever do that… I give him props.

I would take almost every other coach in the Big 10 maybe even the Big 12
would you consider swapping him for brian ferentz if we additionally throw in our qb, tackles, and guards — i’m giving you great deal, please accept.

What are you talking about? Who is digging in saying that we should keep Frost? Seriously, I want names… I haven’t seen anyone other than 1 or 2 posters say we need to keep Frost. You make it seem as though it’s a LOT of posters. Quit making stuff up.

I have seen some posters say they think we may keep Frost, but not that they want to keep Frost. This is part of the reason you receive so much grief… You make stuff up about other posters.

You prove my point. The coaches are either good at what they do or they are not. The players either play with discipline or they don't. There is a discernible scheme or there is not. That kind of stuff doesn't change from week to week, unlike the boat rower's all-knowing opinion

Sorry, no can do. But when the Hawks come to town, we're liable to save his job because we always make every opposing offense a dynamo. Hawks will continue to dominate, but that ain't saying much anymore.

Couple things I disagree with here.

One, coaches are people. They aren’t static. So it’s not as simple as, “they’re either good at what they do or they aren’t.”

Two, even if you were right, all we fans have to base our opinion on is what we see on the field on Saturdays. There seemed to be some pretty clear evidence that they were good coaches after Michigan. Then that evidence was nullified by Minnesota and Purdue. So some of us observers changed our opinion back.

Count me in as one of those who can see the university keeping him with all the language they've used and promises their reps made.

If I could procure a really good, not just good, but really good proven head coach now after these next 3 games, I would.

Maybe Scott has an ace up his sleeve, and is going to get a lights out QB in the portal or maybe Smothers or Haarberg(sp) really does just explode over the spring and summer, and he wins 10 games next year with that easy schedule. But I doubt it. In fact it may be that next year he does win 6 on that schedule and goes to a bowl. Then he's kept for another year. Does he start the upward trend then? It's possible. After that it really could be a 7 year project like I thought they were hinting at.

I really wanted this all to go well for Scott Frost. I thought he was going nowhere but up as his career did, maybe a little light on the HC sample, but I mean how many assistants get a HC position every year? And he was already a HC with an undefeated season with strides that made progress every year at UCF. Nebraska wasn't stupid for making that hire. Can you imagine the insane blowback had Nebraska not hired Frost?

he just wants other people to slobber over Matt Campbell's 7 win seasons and losses to perennial G5 teams so he can tell his coworker "as a respected member of the Nebraska Cornhuskers Rivals forums ... "
