Good. He needs to. His vision is average at best.
He needs to improve. I think an offseason of film and a coach in his ear about how to improve will help.
He also was a victim of trying to do too much partly because OL didn’t help him run through normal holes.

I really liked him at the beginning. He has good hands and can be shifty but needs to learn to take the simple 4 and 5 yard run.

Put your foot in the ground and get upfield

At least he didn’t seem to have fumble-itis

He has a lot of potential and I thought he did pretty good considering the effort from our OL

Good… I saw some flashes early on. Don’t know what the hell happened late but if he can flush any of that Frost stench off, he can have a good year with Ajay and Rahmir.
Looking forward to seeing what the offense looks like. We have a bunch of backs so that’s nice. Can we block is the question

Agree. Early when SF was there and the offense was more wide-open, AG really ran well. When SF was shown the door and Whipple called the plays it seemed AG got far fewer carries and tried to make things happen.

Instead, he danced and then started to string everything out. I don't think that style is gonna work with Rhule.

He likely will be told to run to where the hole is supposed to be, then if he has to do a jump cut, do it, but stringing things out will get him an appointment on the bench.

I think he put a lot of pressure on himself in the second half of the year and was totally frustrated by the lack of running space.

Grant did not seem as fast in the regular season as he did in the highlights from the pre-season practices. Just wasn't able to quite turn the corner and/or was getting caught from behind. I would not be surprised if Rahmir ends up with more playing time next season if Rhule is looking to get more speed out on the field.

I thought Grant's problem was Grant. He decided to go for the home run on every play. Sure, the OL was poor but it was that way early too. Given what we had we needed someone to bull up into the line and be physical. He was unwilling to do that. His ypg was ghastly after the first five games. Rahmir isn't exactly Walter Payton but I thought even he was superior there at the end of the season.

Grant never looked fresh after the Indiana game. They worked him way too much that game. It really hurt that he didn’t get much time to rest because we had to play that next friday. But this Shows the importance of having a second good back.
