Oh I’m a fan and I’m passionate. That’s why I post hear and have spent the time doing it. My point being that being mad over tweets and the handling of the situation is uncalled for. Be glad we have instant access to reports and news instead of being pissed about it. Everyone feels they are owed something and the sense of entitlement is mind blowing. That being said go Cats!

Fair enough. That makes sense

There will be plenty of excuse on the rafters. The refs will most definitely get blamed. The announcers hate us. The NCAA put the fix I
It may be a Martian plot.

No? Why lump all UK fans with a few random people who blame silence conspiracy ?

Not to mention we have 100% been hosed by refs in the past (Fox/monk team... do you remember?)

That being said, if we lose tonight and PJ isn’t playing I’m of the mindset that playing without our lottery pick/ best player would have a little something to do with that.

All of the positive stuff about PJ was before he ever practiced. I believe they thought he was fine because he was walking with no pain. But when he practiced, his foot didn't feel as good as he thought. Now we some back peddling.
Where did you see that at?

I'm continuing to be optimistic that we see PJ but I'm much more nervous about the game if PJ doesn't play, and PJ and Cal will get rightfully blasted for how this was handled if he sits.
You are probaly right about getting blasted but why? Cal has said from the beginning it was the Drs call and you know those foot injuries are nagging all your weight and jumping on a sore foot is not good. I guarentee Cal and PJ both want him to be in every game, one thing we know at Kentucky is that when a player from another team(Zion and Bolden this season) gets hurt they come right back, when our guys get hurt they are pretty much done for the season. Poythress, WCS, NN....now PJ

Quite frankly just sick and tired of the mind games. I didn't think I'd say this but I really don't care anymore if he plays or not.

Like when Reid got hurt. Jimmy Dykes said during a game Reid had been running on the treadmill like a mad man. Then a couple days later Cal is saying Reid hadn't ran or practiced yet. I'm pretty sure if you're able to run on a treadmill you're good enough to do a little something in practice.

A lot of this board is gonna be and rightfully so.
Rightfully so? No way. If he could play he would play. Some of you think this is Cal and PJ’s choice, but if you are hurt and can’t play how can anyone be upset about that?
Even given the tweets and comments by both, he wants to play and some of it is likely to throw off UH. still nothing anyone can be pissed about. Disappointed, yes- but that’s totally different.

Regardless of what happens tonight, if he can can play 15-25 mins we will be fine, if not, we will need ej and nick to show up in the worst way. Our bigs are capable of rebounding and I think Reid will be the X factor tonight. I’m not going to panic because anything could happen. Houston does play tough defense. We have to force them into contested shots and play our game not theirs. I have faith we win tonight, and if we don’t get pj till Sunday so be it. I just want him healthy

Houston has no real size so if we cannot dominate the boards and go inside at will then we deserve to lose anyways.

I think he will play ... BUT I think anybody who thinks he will be 100% is kidding themselves.

If you had said this 2 days ago the playground bullies would have told you that you were crazy and have a negative outlook on life and everything else. They most likely still will.

Without PJ Houston will double team Travis. Interesting to see how UK responds
Well we have 5 or 6 other five star athletes RT can dish to and Baker who is starting to bury shots too.

Good grief, this team is loaded with or without PJ. Just wont be able to rely on one player as much. May make us more unpredictable and lethal.

This game will not hinge on what PJ does or doesn't do but what our guards and Wings do. If Herro, Hagan's, Quickley, Baker and Johnson bring it for 40 minutes we win and win by a comfortable margin. If they don't we could easily lose this game.

I did not say we would all be making excuses but you know some will regardless of the situation.

The problem is Cal is usually very savvy the way he handles these things and so people expect that it’s the same this time. That’s why people would be upset.

It’s not like Cal has made a habit of posting with a wink and a nod only to turn out to be misleading. He doesn’t do that.

So if he did this time people will be upset. And I will for sure re-evaluate the way I interpret his language from here on out. I’ve been watching Cal closely, from a student at UM to a fan of UK, for nearly two decades. He operates a certain way and has for years.

If Pj isn’t back by UNC then I’m scared because we probably won’t make it to the final four.

to be honest I thought the video was premature

Send out a video saying of PJ saying after practice I'm ready to lace them up and play, then its meaningful. Things seem pretty vague since practice to me.

don't get me wrong, I was excited for the video and the Cal swag and I assumed it meat we were in the clear, but there have been many times I've had a sprain or whatever, woke up in the morning feeling good and ready to go put in some work thinking I'm back in form, then get started realize if I keep doing this I'm going to be in serious pain

If I had to choose between the two, maybe giving him another 2 days to face UNC (or Auburn) is worth the risk of us being Houston night if he isn't going to be able to give us a good effort, but pushing him for Houston means he has nothing for UNC. -just conjecture on my part

What gives anyone the right to be pissed if PJ does not play ? You fans are the ones that is killing the image of most UK fans. If you think players do not read these stupid comments you are wrong. All it does is hurt with future recruits, it makes the entire fan base look like idiots and only care their pleasure of UK winning a game, the hell with the medical well being of the player. As long as UK wins who cares if the player harms his body ?? It is selfish and just plain stupid. What if PJ practiced yesterday and his ankle swelled and the pain returned ? Look at it from a normal point of view and not a selfish, crazy conspiracy one.

If you take offense to the post i made, then you are the idiot part of the fan base i am calling out. These are 18-19 year old kids playing a game and if they are injured, they should not play, i do not give a damn about selfish, me, me, me fans. "My team might lose if PJ doesn't risk tearing his ankle to shreds to play so I can enjoy my team winning." It is quite simple, if PJ is healthy enough to play and in no pain, he will, if not he should not. I am fine either way.

The issue is sending out videos teasing the fan base. Especially when UK coaches err on the side of caution about injuries.

Good vibes are due for this game.
Let us each and everyone combine our collective good wishes for our team's success.
Let's become the sixth man and help them with positive brain power.
I am ready. Are you?

It's not about dominating the boards and going inside (though Houston has very good rebounding and interior defense and you greatly underestimate them). Our entire offense is radically different with PJ on the floor. We've seen it all year, and the numbers shown during the last game were stunning in how much lower our point production and shooting percentages are with him not playing.

Yes but the video was before he tried to practice on it. I mean he was fine walking, but we do not know how the ankle felt after he did running and cutting. Can he not get the benefit of the doubt ? Especially after several fans made up all the crap about protecting his draft status, blah, blah, blah. Hell they even Dm'd him and messaged him personally. It is borderline psychotic. It definitely makes the whole fan base look crazy and selfish.

That is Seth Davis.
He prays PJ stays out and prays even harder that UK goes down.
Cal and the team and God have other plan.
Even though he picked UK to win it all before the PJ injury. Seth has no agenda

A rare PR slip up by whoever runs Cal’s Twitter if PJ doesn’t play. You don’t tweet out videos with uh oh and the cast being off and PJ walking unless you’re 100% sure he’s playing. They had to know how that would be perceived.

Nick needs to at the very least, catch the ball when thrown to him. Nick and EJ are capable, but they are also capable of bonehead plays.
