My guess is he is getting that from Kyle Tucker since both at the Atlantic. Kyle's article last night was "fly on the wall". I know UK/Cal is not stupid enough to do all the publicity they have done with PJ and he not play, but I just keep getting more nervous and nervous.

This crossed my mind. I am hoping maybe its more smoke and mirrors from Cal putting out misinformation.

Hopefully not but if that does happen we need to stay off PJ's back. A foot injury can be really serious. It's not just a matter of playing through pain. You can do real harm. Even if the injury itself can't get worse just playing while favoring it can damage other things.

I hope he plays and can't imagine him not playing some after all the hoopla about it but I think we win either way. Just going to be bit tougher to do without PJ.

I think that we all have to start with the assumption that at most he plays limited minutes. If he gets less than that then we can be disappointed (especially if the worst happens), and if he gets more than limited minutes then we should be ecstatic. Still, limited minutes seems like it is reasonable given what we know.

This is just so weird. Cal knows UK fans, so poating that **** the other day....he had to know that we would expect PJ to play after that....but apparently practice disnt go so well for him

Starting to think we see him limited mins and definitely not 100% this scares me. Ugh!!

I don't understand why fans think they have a "right" to be pissed over a game played by teenagers? You aren't owed anything and you aren't entitled to anything. I think PJ plays, but if by chance he doesn't I won't be pissed. If he is able to play and contribute he will. If he isn't then he won't. It's really not that hard. All the propaganda, media tweets, PJ and cal tweets etc doesn't change anything and certainly doesn't give you the "right" to be pissed.

It's very possible that after practicing PJ still has pain. We'll see tonight, I suppose.

My enjoyment from watching UK win is much more important than PJ's long term health and NBA career. :)

Seth Davis knows squat. PJ may not play but nobody told Seth either way lol. They didn't even run a normal practice for the media.

"From what I hear and hope I'm wrong"? Come on Seth, that is such a passive aggressive troll job. If he doesn't play, hey I told you guys. If he does play, then "I guess I was wrong. We'll find out at 10:00 tonight. You can make all the predictions in the world, but P.J still has 10 more hours of rest and then we'll see. I hate how all the national media comes out of the woodwork at tournament time and then all of a sudden they are an expert. I know that I like our team. With or without P.J, I wouldn't trade our team straight up for Houston's team, so as Cal says, "They were built for this.". Go out play great defense and let's kick their butt and then we will worry about the next one.

Disappointing if true. To go from Cal expecting him to play against Abilene Christian the day before to him still being out is frustrating

He hates Kentucky and knows we'll read his ****,he'll do anything to piss off kentucky fans. But on the other side, who knows.I'm at the point now,if he plays great if not then so be it.I've been following UK since 1975 and Tourney time is my favorite time of year but with all the drama surrounding P.J.,it's sort of ruined this year.

Hes a privleged Dookie who is praying this team doesnt get a shot at revenge v his team.

Im not worried because contrary to what the other Dookie Bilas said I believe UK can and will beat UH with or without PJ.

Cincy did just that the other day and Cincy is playing baseball now!

A few things: doc said he can’t hurt it any worse, all about pain tolerance; PJ played all last season with a broke finger (dang near crooked); PJ wants to play (by all indications); Cal is NOT going to come out and say how healthy he is - he will downplay this until even after the game and say “I never thought he’d be able to play that much” - In Cal We Trust!!

Why is anyone surprised by this? The guy hasn't done anything in nearly 2 weeks and cant fully practice the day before the game. You're delusional if you think hes good to go.
Because the sanctimonious Pollyannas were out in full force yesterday insisting he was good to go because Cal was swaggy and PJ was walking without a cast and on and on and on. No one knows if he will play.
