Obama got directly involved in the Israeli election, sending money and people over to Israel to defeat Bibi. The money sent was pretty well hidden, but eventually uncovered.

Certainly not a stretch to think Obama wanted Hillary to win more than he wanted Bibi to lose. So if he got involved once (illegally) no reason to think he wouldn't do it again.

Did he want Hillary elected or does he want to protect his legacy - whatever that may be.

I'm not 100% sure of that...my point is that no matter who won, he'd make sure his legacy was/is protected.

After the primary was over, only Hillary could secure his legacy. Trump was going to destroy it.
