Abrams-Draine, listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, is considered a three-star prospect by both 247Sports and Rivals. He’s verbally committed to Ole Miss, but did not sign in the early period after Lane Kiffin was hired as the Rebels’ head coach.

Before Ole Miss, Abrams-Draine was verbally pledged to LSU. Abrams-Draine is the latest in what is shaping up to be an interesting puzzle that the Huskers will try to complete in terms of their 2020 class. The general understanding is that NU has just two spots remaining for the class after signing 23 players in December. The only player who visited the Huskers officially before the early signing date and appears to still realistically be in play is defensive lineman Tanoa Togiai (Ribgy, Idaho), who is also considering Utah and Kansas State, among others.

Could this be a situation to pull in another receiver just in case Betts/Manning are not on roster next fall?

Another small receiver? You have to wonder if Houston, Chase, and Nance will all be here next year.

my guess is it’s just Frost and Walters continuing to build our WR room up. They claimed we only had 4 scholly WRs in the team when they got here.

Would think we want at least one or two spots for transfers

It’s hard telling what the Husker Coaches have going on from their side of things. Maybe we don’t have anyone looking at us? And since there isn’t, we are going after some more High school guys? Transfers have to start to process on where they want to go don’t they? I don’t think any Head Coach can reach out...or maybe they can. I’m still lost on the transfer portal part of things.

Spanish Fort is a good school to have a presence in even if he doesn’t end up in Lincoln.

do you remember the DB Pelini had committed to us from Spanish Fort? He decommitted and went to Bama but I was real excited about getting into that school. I used to live in Mobile and they always have a lot of talent coming out of there.

He looks like a pretty good athlete, but I think there's bigger needs on the DL. I'd take a RB before another receiver.

Jonathan Cook. Ended up finishing his career with Memphis - had a pick in their conference championship game loss against UCF in '17.

I think Nusi Malani is another DE in play still.

Transfer market will be interesting if there’s any room left.
