I hope this means that if our first four kickers get injured (never thought that was a possibility till last year), we can still make a 25-yard FG.

Lol. I think Frost is not going to end up again in a position where we don't have a kicker.

Before my son left for the Air Force we'd go to a small field by lake Zorinsky and kick field goals thru some uprights right off of F St....I could routinely nail 20 yarders, like no problem!!! Yes they would have been blocked by anyone over 4' tall, but whatevs....and yeah I had to quit every time after 4 or 5 attempts cause I'm old.

The distance some of these dudes can drive is amazing.

I agree on the kicking. After practice all through HS we would stay after and have a field goal kicking competition. I barely made a 45 yarder and it was with like 4 steps vs. the 2 you'd see from a regular kicker. Some of these guys are insane.

After all the points we have left on the field we can never have enough kickers

On a side note - I was in Ord Thursday and stopped by Scratchtown. The Smoketoberfest was one of the best Octoberfest beers I have had.

Keep in mind, none of those dudes were any good. Hell, they grabbed a kid off the Club Soccer team. Pickering wasn't even a very good kicker.

I'll always be thankful to Picker the Kicker for making worthwhile sitting through the snowstorm to watch NU beat Michigan State 9-6. Otherwise a pretty dreadful game.

Looking at his stats beyond the 58-yarder, I'm pleasantly surprised NU can get him as a walk-on. It's not like the level of competition makes a big difference when you're making PATs and FGs, and putting kickoffs into the end zone.

Currently 7 guys on the roster listed at PK or P. Only one is a senior, Connor Culp the LSU transfer. And he theoretically doesn't lose eligibility.

This staff is NOT interested in another kicking blight.
