A review of the five unique IP addresses responsible for nearly 700 votes cast in the span of two hours to skew an Insider Louisville reader poll on a potential no-confidence vote for University of Louisville President James Ramsey shows they come from computers on campus. Additionally, three of the IP addresses that cast 446 votes supporting Ramsey in that timeframe are located within Grawemeyer Hall, which houses the office of the president, provost and top administrative officials.

What kind of shoddy poll allows the same IP to vote multiple times?

If I was a Louisville person, I wouldn't be as concerned about the attempt to rig the poll as I would be about how stupid and out of touch the president and his people would have to be to rig a poll in such a way where it was that easy to track down the votes.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! That's hysterical. Is one too few? Are 446 too many?

You need an insider with access to the database to reveal that. I programmed several surveys and collecting IP numbers from the people being surveyed was always an issue. How could we keep the survey from being gamed? Short answer? There is no short answer.

Regardless, that informaton was either leaked or made up, and whoever did it doesn't care for Ramsey.

Well, the sharks are out now. So little things like this will continue to be leaked, death by a thousand cuts. Funny thing is, he's no different now than he ever was - and for a decade or more all we heard about Ramsey from the UofL crowd was praise. But then he i) self imposed the tournament ban and ii) got on Ricky's bad side. Morally corrupt coach or morally bankrupt school prez? Easy choice.....
