It wouldn't surprise to see a firing every week from here on out. Schools now are looking to get ahead of others firing coaches.

Colorado worries me slightly more than the other schools with openings so far. Wonder who their list of coaching candidates will be.

They have ZERO commitment to football. They won't get a name coach.

Colorado got ahead of its skis (pun intended) when they fired Mike McIntyre. He took that program about as far as anyone will.

Karl Dorrell at Colorado after an 0-5 start with blow out losses.
What a terrible hire to begin with. I like to crap on CU but that was a give up hire. He needed to rehab himself at a G5 program first to elevate himself to a P5 program, similar to Lane Kiffin. They just handed him the keys with no proof.

He’d bring his twin brother that is the real head coach at Georgia!!

I didn’t know things were so bad there, but just doing a little research over the past hour, you’re right. I guess that explains the Mel Tucker escape from Boulder in the middle of the night and hiring a retread like Dorrell in the first place.
They need some unknown that wants to stay in Boulder forever…like Snyder in Manhattan. They are completely devoid of any talent and it will be a minimum 6-7 yr rebuild with all the challenges they face.

7 year rebuild is right up Frost’s alley. Or so he said.

I feel like this sets up keeping Mickey permanently. Leipold would chose wisky over NU any given Saturday.

I have to think if OU bears UTerus; Sarkisian's seat gets scorching hot. I wonder which flavor of the month corch they'll overpay for next.

They likely have another losing season either way.

I do not understand why they could not be better. Great state and Boulder kicks ***...if the powers that be cared, they could be a football school.

It's pretty easy to understand. Who would want to waste a beautiful fall Colorado afternoon watching Buffs Football? I can think of at least a hundred other places in Colorado I'd rather be on a fall Saturday than Folsom Field. People don't move to Colorado to watch college football, they do so to partake in outdoors activities.

It's like wondering why Hawaii isn't a football powerhouse....who in Hawaii would want to waste a Saturday watching a meaningless college football game?

I can see why someone who doesn't live in Colorado might think that but it's not really an accurate assessment.

Just Colorado's luck. They fire their head coach and get upstaged by Wisconsin on the same day.

Yeah IDK bout that take.....lot's of people don't consider watching football to be a waste and the better the afternoon the better the experience. We know historically speaking, the people who run the school don't care that much about the program, if they did, that program could be a good one.

Location wise, Colorado has a natural recruiting advantage for the scenery. They've been good in the past and could be again. Biggest issue now is conference affiliation. They're kind of in no man's land right now with the PAC uncertainty.
