"We get to go play a great team today, and we get to measure ourselves. It's not going to be very long before people are going to be worried about us. We get a chance today to prove it.”

It’s clear that some don’t like Frost’s arrogance/confidence. Thanks for taking every opportunity to complain about what Frost says.

Did you really expect anything different? We are several years away from having the talent and culture to compete.. going in a good direction, will just take time...

I mean, he's gotta put on that front. Gotta have and project confidence for the team's sake and for recruiting purposes. Can't just come out and say we blow fat goats.

It's nice of you to say that but where is the proof? Indeed, those are two ingredients but you missed others. Why?

Scott could have the personality of Saban, D'antonio and Pelini rolled up in one if he was producing results. Right now, last year's team (post-Purdue) would dominate this sorry squad. Not exactly encouraging.

And deep down he's thinking, "What the hell have I got myself into?"

Last years squad was led by seniors on offense. This year’s team has zero seniors starting on offense. And no Noa doesn’t count a) he’s new and b) he’s pretty much worthless.

You guys are fine, most teams in big west would get stomped by OSU, and you had a few just unlucky plays. I could still see you guys honestly winning 8 games. Couple years and you could be back contending every year in the west. Or... frost might be a crap coach. In 2 years we will know how good they can be with him

In the 2018 class, Frost's first, Nebraska had 9 four star players commit. 2019's class saw 11 four star commits, 2020 so far has four 4* commits, so there is talent coming to Lincoln, but as another person posted on another thread, Nebraska needs to get to15 or more 4* types, it does matter because if it didn't, Bama and the other top ten schools in recruiting wouldn't be where they're at now.

Nebraska has gotten a lot of players from many states, so kids are receptive, just like they were back in the early 90's when enough of those players showed up and helped turn things around. It can happen, let's hope it starts to take hold soon.

I’d rather see that than a mike Riley quote. I agree what do people want him to say, were playing the game for money we know we’re going to get our *** kicked.

Not all 4star recruits are created equal.. you are not getting the guys that Osu, psu, um, nd, Texas really want. You would be better to focus on 3 star Guys from Florida that can ball.. Nebraska recruiting has been a mirage. I remember the terrible guys Callahan took from California.

This concept has been slow to sink in, but it’s true. A four star with early, but uncommitable offers from top schools and is no longer getting contacted from them is really a three star. The question is why did the big schools back off. A 4.7 40 at a camp? Or a perceived lack of commitment, competitiveness or character?

If a region has 7 4star wr’s.. the first 5 would go to the guys with the deepest
scouting.. the other 2 would head out of region. Nebraska has to rely on out of region kids.. there isn’t much elite skill in a 200 mile radius of the school.

Nebraska has been getting some of those 3 star players from Florida, Alabama and other states, and right now I will just focus on what talent Frost has gotten from 2018 to the present. Players from the before mentioned states along with commits from Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Colorado, Kansas.

Solid classes and players, not up to par with the top 8 schools that recruit great year in and out, but the pattern of getting kids to commit from a long way away is good to see, it's a start. Now, coaching them up and making them competitive players has to come to fruition and it has to start this Saturday with Northwestern. It's a long climb the next few years, Frost and his staff are going to have to make more inroads to better talent, to your point.

His first statement is fine. His second statement is what is getting him in trouble. It is going to be a long time before people are worried about Nebraska. Under promise and over deliver.
