Perhaps letting a girl playing in her first football game take charge of the locker room and give half time speeches wasnt the best idea...

I heard Kneel has been prowling the soccer fields since Saturday.

Texas was thinking seriously of Hiring a female HC but they already had Herman so they didn't feel it necessary to have back to back hormonal coaches.

I saw that girl kick and thought to myself it’s a pure publicity stunt. My other thought was what happens if that kick is returned and someone goes head hunting on the kicker. The same scenario on a fg if it’s blocked or a place kick fumbled—what happens when someone goes hitting the kicker? I’ve seen instances where certain ST coaches hit the kicker as much as they can especially if they’re small frame and good. It’s strategic especially if the Kick Off kicker kicks FGs. Plus players want to hit the kicker and the punter. It’s kind of like hitting a qb when he throws an INT. It’s ‘put them on the ground time.’

The difference here is females should NOT be in a collision sport with males where there are no weight limits. I’m all for equal rights/abilities especially on the intellectual side, but there’s safety to think about and keep in mind on the physical side. Women should not play football vs Men, unless it’s flag football.

She scurried off the field immediately after the "kick," so Vandy was left to defend any runback with 10 players.

If you have females on the football team you can actually save a lot of money by cutting women's sports

Almost all women's sports are non revenue. Because of Title IX you need to have the same amount of women on scholarship as male.

I have always thought we should have female football teams.
But having them on the football team isn't terrible if it saves money

I've always felt that football should be exempt from being counted in Title IX because there is no equivalent.

Seems better than schools cutting men's golf, track, cross country and swimming just to get to a number.

They have a pro football league for women

The LFL needs a place where players can be developed

I hear Marshall is scheduling them soon to strengthen their schedule.

Football and parallel parking...two activities which woman shouldnt attempt under any circumstances.

they had one of those semi-pro women's teams where I live, and I saw them all out one day doing a fund raiser at a local brewpub. you could drink a 1/2 gallon of tequila and you wouldn't have taken any of those players home with you.

There was one in my town. They spent more time begging for money than they did playing football.

But to be fair, the men's local team did the same thing....

That girl kicked a kickoff 15 yards. Hardly a crowning achievement for women. Sad thing is there are 1000's of male kickers that couldn't get a D1 offer but because they aren't a headline agenda, they won't get the chance. USA has alot of issues.
