I’m definitely glad we got this young man. Hoiberg keeps bringing in the talent.
They also likely will apply for a waiver so he is eligible for the full season. And he can help us next year for the conference slate. At 6-6 230 he definitely has the frame to tangle in the B1G. Nice get for Freddy H.
Yes thats HimIs this the 6'6" guy with the 40" vert? Big fRed doin work
FifyHoiberg or Hoibarg or whatever his last name sounds like somebody down the street in SSC.
Huskers to the end. We go down on our own.

Whats most encouraging about this highlight tape is its all against ACC competition. These are legit guys he was making moves against not a bunch of scrubs.

Nice get! Solid slashing-type player who is strong enough to play down low. Looks like we are loaded on 6'4" to 6'8" guys who are versatile.
Yvan Ouedraogo is commiting tomorrow will pick between NU Georgia Tech and TCU. I like our chances to grab him. 6'8" 240 can do a bit of everything also only 17 so may be a redshirt candidate.Would like to see at least 1 power forward or center on the roster.

Yeah, that team was pretty bad his freshman year. I think they had some bad coaching issues. Stevenson put up some nice numbers for a freshman though.Nice highlights, but in looking at the scores when those plays were made, man his team really got their *** kicked.
love this roster construction so far.. 6'6"-6'8", highly active, ball skills for all 5 on the floor, long arms.
2019, fellas. basketball is a different game, and I couldn't be happier Coach Hoiberg recognizes an opportunity to play fast, shoot 3s and make teams adjust to NU for once instead of trying to matchup with lesser talent.
push the pace, space the floor, let it fly! should shoot 15+ more shots than last year and I hope every one of them is a 3. let teams play big & try to keep up!
I've just seen a little bit of tape on him, but, man, I think I love his game. 6' 6", strong, explosive. Decent shooter. Seems like he's got a bit of Justise Winslow to his game. Or for us NU hoops oldies, Bernard Day.Yeah, that team was pretty bad his freshman year. I think they had some bad coaching issues. Stevenson put up some nice numbers for a freshman though.
This what is so exciting about Hoiberg. In the past I'd see Miles get commits and it would always be tepid. The kid would have offers from Woffard and Northern Illinois and he couldnt shoot a lick and Id wonder if he could ever produce in the B1G. I havent had that feeling with any of Hoibergs guys and thats damn exciting.I do like the tall guards, that 6'8 guard from Slovenia can make the 3s, a real sleeper.

With the exception of 2014. His recruiting was very sub par. Nick Fuller, Jacob Hammond, and Brady Heiman all come to mind when I think of Miles' recruiting skills.I was pretty excited when Miles landed Morrow and Watson that one year, but other than that the commits were pretty "meh", aside from some of the transfers.
Yes but who did he surround those guys with? Miles could get one or two guys but he would surround them with guys like Nick Fuller so it was all on those guys to play hero ball in the hopes that they'd drop 30 and we'd win 60-58 in the end that only worked about half the time.Cant be upset about some of the xfers miles pulled....petteway, jpj, cope, pitchford. Those were all really talented guys.
