Thought he was one of the better basketball announcers for the SECN so I will miss him on television. Curious to see how he does with his second chance at being a head coach. UAB is a decent mid major program.

He's a pretty decent coach too. Wouldn't mind having him when Howland leaves.

UAB is usually a good Conference USA team.

Unfortunately, this year Conference USA is #15 in the nation in conference NET rankings behind the Mountain West, MVC, Mid-American, Southern, and Sun Belt (from Warren Nolan). The conference needs to improve its ranking so it won’t just be an auto-bid league.

I liked him a lot as a commentator. Gonna miss his views. Wonder who will replace him on tv.

What year was it UaB made some noise in the tournament, I remember they beat a really high seed. I think it was Iowa state, but anyways I hated him and TSUN but he was great for the Sec network.

That's a really good hire for them. Mississippi's best coach in their history and a UAB alum. If Bryce Drew's shot doesn't go down, they've got a clear path to the Elite 8 and who knows what their history would have been then.
