Andrew definately gone...

I like Andrew and he was our best player in several games down the stretch, but he is going to get torched defensively in the league.

I do wish Andrew the best if he leaves.

"Definately (sp) gone.....in my opinion." That's when I stopped reading. Should have stopped sooner.
Andrew was great this year but the drop off will not be much if any with the combination of Ulis and Briscoe next year. It would be different if we only had Briscoe coming in but with Ulis being the leader I'm not worried at all about the point guard position.
I think he's gonna have to switch positions and move to the wing if he wants to make it in the League. Simply does not have the quickness and foot dexterity needed to guard the point spot at the NBA level. After watching how the quicker college points made him look bad the last couple years I can't even imagine him trying to stay in front of someone like Russell Westbrook.
Andrew gone? Good times are ahead. Im done with Harrisons. Time to move on

These two kids have some perceived issues the last couple of years. But they have been quality individuals and model citizens while in Lexington. As Cal says, these are 19 year old kids who can make mistakes. Did you at 19?
I also really doubt that you wanted Aaron to 'move on' after his three big shots last year in the tourney. And did you want to throw Andrew to the curb after this years Notre Dame game?
If you want kids/players of this quality to just move on, maybe your standards are too high for even us folks at Kentucky

With his speed, quick first step and excellent ball control it will be some time before we see another point guard like him. I know Duke, with their dissapointing guards that don't pass well and struggle to hit the outside shot would have loved to have had Andrew this season to fall back on. I see him setting new standards for guards in the NBA.
"New standards in the NBA"? Good Lord, man. He was a sub 40% shooter in college who consistently got beat off the dribble. He's a fine college player and could continue to improve and I'm glad he and his brother chose UK. But, damn, he ain't gonna set new standards in the NBA. He'll be lucky to be drafted and make a team, imo. Same for Aaron.
I believe he was being facetious. I actually like Andrew and think he made a lot of strides this season, but he has none of the qualities that poster listed, and will not be setting standards in the NBA.
In Andrew's defense, his shooting (really at the end of the year, and most specifically on threes) and his passing were eons better than last year.

That being said, I think you hit the nail on the head. Why else would Coach Cal tell Ulis that he plans on building the team around him other than that he knows that the Twins are not coming back?
My guess is, based on his earlier comments, Cal knows that 5 players are absolutely gone and that 2 are considering leaving but arent sure as of yet. Those two are VERY like Booker and Dakari. It seems to be a pretty fair consensus that the Twins are leaving (along with Willie, Towns, and Lyles).
Next years team is going to look weird without the Twins, but I think the backcourt will be quicker and more talented ball handlers with Ulis running the show and Briscoe running the point with him.
