Their bigger problem is that people are going to realize that all these services that they were getting from their municipalities were partly subsidized by the federal government. They looked dow on the poor people in Appalachia and the midwest for living off government subsidy but they were too.

BTW - I got my Kiplinger tax letter today and it looks like these states have some pretty creative ways around this issue.
