An optimistic and bold prediction for this year!

If we can get it together starting with tomorrow night, we could get another 6 wins in the conference and finish 7-13 in the Big 10. That would still mean 14-16 overall heading to Chicago with no post season but to me, it’s a successful building block for next year.

I know there’s negativity and most probably disagree with my optimism but there’s a lot of hoops to be played this season but the Purdue performance was not and is not indicative of Rutgers basketball. As pikielll said, throw out the tape and move forward.

I was looking for Sal here from the headline but hey, I’m an optimistic guy too!
I love Pike and like any successful coach has to do, you have to experiment during the season. He knows his defense, he’s still tinkering with the offense a little and I think we miss Sanders more than anything. Now, even when “OhMy” was in there, Pike was experimenting a little. Now OhMy is not, and that’s a huge loss, but lots of weapons here. I just love the fact that we are in the toughest part of the schedule and still playing hard every game. I can actually see 8 more wins ( if things go well) to finish 500 in conference before the B1G tournament. Hope It comes to fruition...
PS- Love optimistic posts. Pardon the “OhMy” pun for my main man Omoruyi! Lately I’ve been referring to him as “OhMyKnee” but just to my closest friends. I know he’ll forgive me when he’s better!

Now, beating Nebraska is not going to be easy but if we do, it’s 3 in a row when we beat penn state.

good luck with Nebraska, did you see them tonight vs MSU, they are a top 4 school in league. RU isnt beating Iowa on the road mark that down. Illinois and Penn State will be solid faves on their own court. Im hoping for one of those.

your scenerio has RU winning just about all the swing games and then pulling upsets over Iowa, Minny, and Nebby...I have not seen anything in the last 6 weeks of play that has shown we can be that consistent in winning all those games, its not really realistic
