Yes, this was sent to me via email as a thank you to the RU Build Fund. It's very exciting. I can't wait until it's complete. This will be one of the nicest facilities in the B1G.

Will it? Or will it give us what everyone else already has?

Fantastic visual tour of the construction, & love the views of the RAC from the new building. The exterior of the RAC needs a good pressure cleaning or paint job, not a good look for recruits & visitors right now.

sad but this video shouldn't be "news" since if you gave to the fund you were sent it but as we know many didn't give

I gave and got the email, but I saw it posted here first. Guess I check the boards more than my email. As may others.

I got it the same way, but figured many others did not.

give me an elevated walkway to the RAC and huge escalators that brings the teams (and visitors/recruits) down from the top of the RAC to the floor....

The construction looks awesome. This thread looks typical... a few people ***** and complain about anything (oh my god... you shared a good rutgers tidbit to the fanbase?) while others minimize progress (everyone else already has one. Sad face.)

I have a bit of fear of heights, so I probably wouldn't have made it up the ladder. More power to those guys.

It's great to see things taking shape and we will finally get have "nice things". Those two are in it for the long term and we will see the success that we as fans have been longing for.

Love the aerial shot at the end, of both the construction site today and the artists rendering of the finished product. Good stuff.

This is all very impressive and very nice. Rutgers will now have some facilities that are on par with many other P5 programs. But it may not bring a recruiting boom unless the program starts winning, Does anyone remember all the hype about the $4milllion football recruiting lounge funded by a wealthy donor a few years ago? That was supposed to provide a huge and expensive boost to football recruiting, but nothing really changed. . . because the program was stuck in mediocrity or worse. So, let's have realistic expectations about what all these new facilities can produce. They will enhance recruiting but only if the program starts winning big and going to the postseason. Then you've got something. Otherwise, Rutgers will have beautiful facilities but remain as a bottom feeder in the B10.

The momentum around the basketball team is palpable so your concerns are illegitimate. Keep the room and bloom with you on the football board or wherever you're from.

This facility is a little more impactful for a student than the recruiting lounge. In addition, basketball recruiting is already going well.

The recruiting lounge was also funded by Greg Brown who just pledged $4 million for the football locker room. These type of upgrades aren’t going to result in a recruiting boom but they are a necessity if you want to stay afloat and compete in recruiting.

As far as basketball...this facility is a game changer. There has been hardly any investment in basketball over the past 20 years. I keep saying this over and over...but once basketball sniffs the NCAA tournament in a couple years under Pikiell that program is going to take off.

Also you have to look at the bigger picture. Hobbs just raised $100 million in 2.5 years (including a $25 million tax break). Most people thought he wouldn’t come close to meeting this goal. The success of the campaign and seeing shovels in the ground/buildings go up is going to bring out more donors (big & small) who are seeing that the AD is serious and the future is bright.

when I saw the early models for this I thought the buildings were much closer to the RAC and that worried me that it would harm the ability to renovate and remodel or rebuild the RAC... but that is plenty of room. exciting stuff.

This really is an exciting time for RU B-Ball. What we never thought would happen is now only 10 months away from completion. I am really looking forward to taking a tour of the practice facility. I am so glad I made a contribution. I hope others will do so in the future. We need the facility for the soccer teams as well. Every little bit given brings us to our goal. Many people just like to criticize and won't even pledge a few dollars.
