signed 6 five stars, 14 four stars and 4 three stars. That's 24. Is that possible because marginal players get sec'd off the team there, too, like saban does at alabama?

I don't think they were at their scholly limit. Plus, they have a large senior class this year & they expect up 1-3 to leave early for NFL.

The 85 scholarship limit is the one that matters, not the 25 limit. If you have early enrollees, you can count them against the previous year's 25 limit. If you have grayshirts, they don't count until the next class. So basically you can fit more than 25 in a class if necessary. That's not the problem. No matter what, you have to limit the full number to 85. So you'd better have some transfers, medical scholarships, etc. if you are regularly signing classes of 25 or more, because five years' worth of that would be 125 scholarship players, or 40 over the allowed number.
