Making money or not, State baseball having success is good for the athletic department as a whole.
Football aside from tailgating and visiting friends, is miserable with the losing, opposing fan take overs and cost to attend.
also if not for former baseball players , many football seats and few of those football suites would not be occupied.
The Egg Bowl alone had 5.3 million viewers. I'd wager our baseball team couldn't get to 5 million viewers over the last 4 seasons combined. Football is not on the same planet as other sports.
