Also Kansas scored 90 or 92 points on Gonzaga. They had like 45 points with 5 minutes left vs us. And it’s December 1st. If you can’t see our defense potential that’s on you. I’m angry cause I’m a competitor, but we did improve. Sarr was screwed into playing 5 min. Toppin helped. No brooks. I’d rather have our issues than anyone else’s. We won’t shoot this bad 90% of the time. And we will get better each game cause we have 10 brand new guys. Can’t teach length, size, athleticism. Once bad habit break and we learn some offense I wouldn’t want to play us. I want these Mfers again idk about you all. Kansas may have played bad but it’s because of us. We didn’t shoot this terrible because there defense
Pace of play is the reason for the scoring difference.
UK slowed the pace down and made it a halfcourt game, so we really can't put much stock in what KU did against Gonzaga compared to us.
However, our defense is going to be very good, our length is obscene.

I am fawking tired of losing to our rivals.
Those of you who are OK with this **** year after year need to sign up for the damned participation trophy. Showing improvement from a HOME LOSS to Richmond is settling for mediocrity in my book. This Kansas team is very average and probably gets knocked out in the Sweet 16 round.
So, when does Cal face some tough scrutiny for his fat wallet and thin results?
There are still a few people left on Cal's fan train, a loss to Louisville aught to take care of that.

This will be a good team in March. Unfortunately guard play will end the season to soon.
The lack of speed and quickness ,and inability to the create open shots for others will be our downfall. If our guards can not shoot defenders collapse inside allowing no penetration. This equals no open shots, and stagnate offense Hope I'm proven wrong.
We'll have 10 losses, in a shortened season, by March. Be looking at an 8 seed. I'm being real, not sarcastic, there are a lot more losses coming.

Being real also... A good team not great. I agree we will lose more games. My guess 4-8 seed. Well below expectations by UK standards. Our talent at the guard position will be most to blame . Of course Cal. for the recruitment of the position.

Has covid lockdowns made everyone lose their minds? Seriously, this place has become Theatre of the Absurd lately.

This team is too young, too raw, and has very little skill to play basketball. They'll get better of course. I'm hoping Boston becomes Lebron soon. But realistically, they're gonna lose quite a lot of games. They are super long, they'll win some they probably shouldn't. But the end result will be near 10 losses or over, and an exit in the tournament somewhere before the final four.

If we lose to Louisville, damn. It's gonna get wild.

Losing to our rivals? Last time i looked we've done pretty well against Kansas, completely dominated Louisville, and barely ahead of UNC.
I know you want to win every single game, but lets be reasonable.
You need to look again. Under Cal Louisville is the only program we have dominated. Multiple losses to Kansas, UNC, Dook, UConn, IU and even UCLA.
UK trails UNC in the overall win-loss by a 2-1 margin.

My question is, how the hell did we end up with the worst, anti-UK refs in college basketball? (no Higgins thank God). Adams, Sirmons and Luckie for crying out loud.

We were in control, playing great D, fouls were 4 apiece, up 13. And Boom! 8 straight fouls on us, Sarr on the bench, KU grabs the momentum, and that's all she wrote.

We're gonna be fine.
You have your Tin foil hat on too tight. So the refs cost us yet again huh?

Most of the problems are easily fixable, but unless Cal benches Askew and puts the Ball in Clarke's hands, we're in trouble. The stage is way too big for Askew. He's not a 5* player and damn sure not a top notch pg. You can't do this with an inadequate pg.
Problem is, Clarke aint no pg either, he would have to learn the position. But would Cal sit Askew? A guy he went out west to recruit? Probably not. He'll bench Allen for breathing wrong, but I believe Askew is in his "circle of trust".
One thing I did notice in the KU game though, was our length REALLY bothered them. I know KU played small, but I believe our length is the only thing that kept us from losing by 20. It’s something to build off of anyway.
