This is one of the huge perks of being at player at a real school. NU, Bama, UGA, Auburn, UT, USC and so on.

These are the perks that you have AFTER you are done playing and those years go fast and before you know it you need a big boy gig and what an amazing in/connection to have. Either go work for the U or get connected to someone that runs/owns a company and you have that "in"

He is a good kid. He played with a broken jaw for DONU. Not his fault he couldn’t play qb and fix the defense at the same time.

I thought Nebraska wasn’t for everyone?
While I actually agree, its probably not, its still a ******* stupid slogan and true of every state. Personally I love Nebraska, and would probably be miserable in a lot of states. Or at least in big cities.

Well it's good he's not sour about his time here. He took a lot of crap. Some deserved, a lot probably not. Good luck to him.

Nothing wrong with a weekend trip to LA or Vagas as long as you can come back to some sanity in Nebraska.

Too bad he isn't under Center this year. People may laugh but, he's way better than Sims and is also a far and away better runner than Sims as well. Opposing D's cringed everytime that Martinez took off with the ball and he was the most dangerous running QB in all of P5. Defenses are in no way shape or form afraid of Sims when he takes off with the ball and that's truth!

Which is it, Defenses are in no way shape or form afraid of Sims when he takes off with the ball and that's truth!? Or Martinez is more imposing (not opposing)? Nevermind, I don't care.

Martinez has the legs and could get the most out of our depleted receiver room.

If Adrian can help recruiting in some capacity, that would be good. I always liked him, nice young man with no chip on his shoulder.

Dude sold his Husker gear. Did it go to charity or something noble like that? Yeah, I really don't give a **** what the guy does.

Always thought he would make an excellent youth sports counselor/mentor. He will represent the University well in whatever role he does.

As a man who likes wagers I thought you might appreciate my trip to Vegas last week. Placed my first ever wager in a casino....(I take that back, I lost twenty bucks at the boats 3+ decades ago in C.B. but you get the point).....I laid a whole ten bucks on red at the roulette table (I literally had to ask one of the employees who walks the floor how to do it) and I hit it. I didn't even know what it paid when I hit it cause I gave em ten bucks and the dealer gave me two chips and when I hit it I got back 4 chips and I'm thinking "Just how much did I just win"...of course those who gamble know I won ten bucks. I cashed out. Then my wife sat down at the slots and put a fiver in...3 pulls later she was up to 14.50 and then she cashed out.

All told we left Vegas with $19.50 of their money...pure profit baby!!!

Still riding high....

I can honestly say I've been to Vegas a ton of times, and have never bet a nickel on roulette, blackjack or any table game OTHER than Texas Hold 'em. I entered a tournament at the Stratosphere and out of 600 players, came in fourth. It a game I've pretty good at, but I can sit at a racetrack for 10 hours and never move, but I just don't have the patience to sit that long for poker.

I love checkers, hate chess. That's why I play horses and not the market. At the track you can know if you're right or wrong in a minute and ten seconds, versus waiting long periods in the market. I'm definitely not a day trader, but some of those cats are really good.

Congrats to you and your wife. I really respect controlled gamblers. I know some real degenerate gamblers and they are always problematic to be around.

Another quick, true story. My wife and I were in LA and were driving one morning to Vegas. We stopped in Pratt, Nevada about 30? miles or so from Vegas to go to the restroom and grab coffee. So we each threw in 20.00 and poof it was gone in a minute. They had all these pictures of people who had won a ton of money at that casino, and my wife said, "well, I'd have to see it to believe it."

So, we get to Vegas and check into NYNY. I'm over playing horses and my wife is at the slot machine about 9:30 in the morning. The lady 2 stools away hit the jackpot of Wheel Of Fortuned .25 machine. $ 1.4 Million after tax. A real nice 50ish lady secretary from Hawaii on a company trip. She was down to her last 19 quarters when she hit the jackpot.

To be honest, they were NOT happy, and it took till about 4:00 for her to get the money. Photos, promos, etc., but cleary they didn't like that jackpot to be hit. I felt good for the lady. She said she was deciding if she should keep on working, and I told her, I'd give them my 2 second notice. I quit. Nice lady and glad for her.

Sorry to hijack your Las Vegas story.

Yes, good luck to Adrian, but I had hoped with the vanquishing of Frost and soon to be the 2018 class, that NU was in the process of exorcising that entire group of mistakes.
