I watched this. I do not think it was bad. Honestly, I think it made for good TV for seeing a live reaction.

I am not a Lebron fan but he handled that great.

Pete broke the one unbreakable rule in baseball, then spent decades lying about it (even profiting from it). If the guy had just come clean from the start, he might be in Cooperstown right now. Now he never will, and rightfully so. Hell of a player though.

I did a paper about this topic in college and there are so many people in Coopertown with far worse sins than that baseball sin. He should be in, it's about what you did as a player, nothing else, and him not being in actually declines the worth of the honor IMO.

That's the problem, some things don't need to be used for ratings. Pops grief shouldn't be used to make good tv.

I agree 100000%. But we as a society are the issue. News stories run with School shootings or just shootings in general for ratings. I don't think that ratings should matter for things like this but unfortunately that's all the media cares about.

I thought it came out that she told him she was going to ask about that before she asked

AT HALFTIME OF THE WOLVES/ROCKETS GAME ERNIE JOHNSON SAID ALLIE LAFORCE ASKED LEBRON BEFORE THE INTERVIEW IF HE WOULD CARE TO COMMENT ON THE PASSING OF POPOVICH'S WIFE AND HE AGREED.

SHE DID NOT BLINDSIDE HIM AND HE AGREED TO TALK ABOUT IT. RESEARCH, PEOPLE. BETTER YOURSELVES.

I wanna see LaForce naked, doh.
Well if this is the case, then can this thread convert to just posts of her and her legs?

Off topic, but you know, watching this now, it wasn't really a big deal. First, Clyde didn't say "that was a dumb question", he said "and that was a really bad question." But he answered it, smiled - or sorta smiled - while talking, all in all, not a big deal. Compared to what we've since seen from Popovich, really not a big deal. But the whole world freaked, including naturally this board. Including me, probably.....Just interesting.

100% the reporter was made to ask that question by her bosses. Just doing her job.

I guarantee you that is exactly what happened.

I remember when Syracuse beat Kansas in the title game back in 2003. Rumors were swirling about Roy taking the UNC job. The first question the reporter asked Williams was about the taking the UNC job while he was still on the court about a minute after the game ended. You could see that she was nervous and awkward about asking the question, making it obvious that she was pressured by her bosses into asking that question.

He still makes me cringe. How was he ever our coach? Cal could lose 20 games and I would still be happy he represents us. Ughhhh.

There was nothing wrong with that question either. Billy was a trainwreck of a human. How he got this job with all of his problems and baggage is beyond me. I am grateful though that they realized it was a mistake and corrected it before it got worse, which it was about to cause us to hit bottom with the way he was recruiting.

Eye candy is the only requirement today for a being a sideline reporter. Im ok with it.

What we should all have a problem with is the moments we only get the audio and no shot of these girls during the game.
