Agree. He comes in and has to take a 3 because it is pretty much forced on him to do so. He misses and out he goes soon thereafter. Boston kills us the whole game except for one three point shot and Askew passes the ball around the perimeter and does nothing else and they play.

Askew is the worse PG I have ever seen at Kentucky. He makes Saul Smith look like an all star.

I've been saying the same for weeks. How can Allen watch Askew get as many minutes as he does and not confront Calipari? Boston 1-9 from the field with 1 rebound tonight and playing majority minutes. Agree, if I were Allen, I would be shutting it down right now and looking for another school.

Allen is gonna leave, and whoever gets him will have a damn good piece to the puzzle for 2 or 3 years.

Allen looks absolutely lost out there when he’s playing. He hops around the perimeter and as soon as he gets the ball it’s like a hot potato and he either has to shoot or pass it immediately. That being said I think it’s Cal’s fault. I think he broke his spirit. He was much better early on. Honestly though he’s no worse than Boston so I say let him play!

Allen must be a good kid. I don’t see how he could set on the bench and watch Askew and Boston. I would already be gone.

You can see he's under lots of pressure to come off the bench and score after the 25 point game he had.... We all over reacted to that game, and now Cal is putting undue pressure on him to score and prove he plays the right guys?? His 5 stars can do as they please really makes me mad!!

I won’t say he was bad on all levels. I will say he looked scared to death and playing hot potato with the ball while he was in.

Just saw the box score...Askew had a plus/minus rating of -19 on 17 minutes of playing time!! Allen played only 3 minutes and had the only positive number (+1) on the team! Boston was -7 on plus/minus and 1-9 fgs with 1 rebound in 32 minutes of playing time!

That's impossible. Allen was atrocious on all facets of the game. Because I said so.

I think cal killed Allen when he kept screaming for him to shoot every time he got the ball. Shooters know when to shoot. I really believe Cal didn’t want Allen to succeed because of his ego.

Of course not. That's why the kids playing time went back to zilch when he started missing shots. He never got to play through it. Players first my ***. This is a 5 star players first program.

Allen has yet to demonstrate he’s a Power 5 player. He can’t get a shot off the dribble. He doesnt rebound. He doesn’t play anywhere close to competent defense. He has no pulse while he’s in the game. All he does is stand around the perimeter waiting for a teammate to pass him the ball so he can shoot it when he’s not covered up by a defender. Because he can’t dribble to get his shot off, other teams have scouted him and lock him down. I hope he stays and improves but right now he looks like a better fit for the OVC

damn right cal broke his spirit. It’s easy to tell that Allen doesn’t like playing for cal. Think back to miss. St and how loose and fluid he looked after cal got kicked out. He hasn’t looked like that since. Even when cal played him for a 5-6 game stretch he still played like he knew cal didn’t have confidence in him. That has an effect in a player and it has effected Allen this year. I’m only surprised he hasn’t quit Already but maybe that’s not his DNA. I’m sure he will thinI about his future after this season and decide to move on. He knows he’s not a cal guy and never will be.

What? He touched the ball twice that I saw.... once someone drove and panic passed it off his ankle to where he had to make a quick save, then the other time he sprinted to the top of the key to get it because he saw the shot clock going off.

Do you think if he got Boston’s minutes tonight he could have went better than 1-9 from the field and 1 rebound?

This **** is hilarious. I hope you're trolling. The Cal homers do this every game when the kid gets 2 or 3 minutes. Took 1 shot, and his man didn't score on him. ABSOLUTEY ATROCIOUS.
Some kids have long leashes and the other ones short leashes. Unfortunately our long leashes will be kids trying to stay out of the G league next year. I would much rather play kids that will be back, since this season is basically over.

Askew better than an OVC player?

It's obvious Cal doesn't know how to play or get the best out of Allen...The talent is there, and he's just as good as the 5 stars.... The kid can shoot and score when he isn't scared of Cal's constant screaming!!
