Was slotted to be an impact guy. He's not going anywhere better than Iowa so this is puzzling. D Line becoming the biggest portal need.

If MSU raids the Roster I want Fitz Jr booted and Woods never let back into Iowa City unless it is in a Visitors Locker Room because if a bunch of Kids leave they were tampered with by Fitz and Woods if not just STs Players.

Thought he was going to be a breakout player this season. Finished with only 0.5 sack on the year. Still hurts cause projected starter next year.

I said above that it was bad and I'm not a fan of him leaving. That said, Inwas expecting him to have a much bigger year than what he did. He did have a few selfless plays where he took on doubles to allow people to get pressures and sacks. That doesn't go in the stat book.

I remember coach Bell discussing the 2026 season and he said with the portal you never know what you have. I believe this is Allen's last year so I'm sure he is looking for a pay day. Too bad. I believe he had committed to Illinois before picking Iowa. With Epenesa and Anderson this doesn't sting as bad.
Watch some film .Iowa d-line had a big drop off when our "two starter" d-ends were on the sideline. He may have been an impact player in the future,maybe not, but he was not this season.
Ben Kueter, class of 2023, will join the team next Spring. He was a rare dual sport signee. Recruited as a LB, speculation is that he adds weight and moves to DE. Even so (if so), Ben has a lot of ground to make up. Nevertheless, wrestling skills are a big plus on the LOS if that is his destination. I hope he can make a quick transition in any event.

Our DL always seemed to drop off when Allen and the other dude were in at DE instead of Lewellyn and Hurkett.
We also have Chima Chineke at end as well as all the others mentioned. Another 4 star waiting his turn. End seems like it will be fine. Tackle seems thinner. Kind of expected Allen to slide inside.
