Tubby should have never been coach at UK. Period. Cal was deservedly so, regardless of ones feelings for him now. 4 final fours in a 5 year span vs a coach that only won with Ricks team. It’s pretty simple and embarrassing to argue edgewise.
Cal was the perfect hire when we got him and I was excited to see what he would do with a program as good as UK. However, I never thought he would turn his back on the school, the fans and our legacy the way he did.

Are you arguing that Cal is better because he utilized Jorts, Liggins, and Miller in his first 3 years and had success with another man's players? Sounds a lot like Tubby?

I'm not arguing the quality of hire Calipari was at the time, and sure, Calipari was better than Tubby, but not anymore. Tubby never had a season like this, and he never went to the NIT. If Cal left today I'd say he's around a Joe B Hall legacy, which is better than Tubby - I guess?

Tubby did not go to the NIT. Who is the last coach to miss multiple tournaments in 9 years at UK.

Some of you seem to not process the shape UK is in under Cal. It's not going to get better either, so we might want to starts seeing this for what it is, not how we felt about him in 2010.
I mean cal lost in OT of the elite 8 the last tournament there was. Last years team had a good shot to make a run. I just think you’re freaking out a little bit. Spoiled a bit, maybe. Maybe I’m being over optimistic and not looking at the big picture. Idk. 2020 has poisoned my mind.

It would indeed suck bad if we could no longer say that we are CBB‘s all time winningest program.

That’s long been the trump card we played to distinguish us from UCLA. I never imagined we’d ever lose it, much less as soon as this season.
6 decades with a title is what separates us from UCLA

I doubt that, besides who wants to be the leader because a team was stripped of victories. I want to be the leader because my team won more games on the court. Over cheaters and all.
I guess it doesn't matter to me......If the SOB's cheated to get the wins then I have no problem using the adjusted number whatsoever............

And at the rate it's going we could conceivably lose the lead in about six weeks or so.
Will the sun stop shinning if UK loses the lead.........it wouldn't change my life on iota........the only time I think of it is when I read about it on here.....

None of this changes anyone's life on here; games won, number of titles, etc. However, there are some of us that take pride in having the winningest program in college basketball. Losing that claim is just another example of our basketball traditions being stomped on by Cal, who only cares about his NBA G league program.

Even though life doesn't stop and the sun comes up the next morning...if none of this matters , then why do they keep records and Cal makes 9 million a year . It does matter. but the HC can do nothing but make excuses.

1 Kansas will not receive a hefty penalty from the NCAA. If anything it will be light. But definitely no vacated wins.
2 KU will lose some games
3 KU will not pass UKY this year but will next year.
4 Even when KU does, think about it. Every year its the same thing (mostly). The blue bloods are what 30-5 or 31-4. Thus with UKY KU and UNC all within 15 games of each other, it will simply be a back and forth for years.

You are delusional. 5 NCAA level 1 infractions is not gonna be a “light penalty”. You KU fans are something else.

KU won't get punished. Or Arizona. Those programs are too big for the NCAA to do anything. They have only punished Oklahoma St in the last 2 years from the Adidas scandal. They'll probably punish TCU, Creighton & South Carolina. Louisville will get penalized some more. NCAA will perhaps flip a coin to decide which one of the Alabama schools to discipline. The rest will skate. They'll just keep prolonging this until most give up on them doing anything. Then they'll casually note some technicality that will allow certain schools to get escape judgement. Like when the NCAA investigator told her boyfriend on the plane that they were going to nail Miami and everyone heard. So NCAA let Miami off.

The NCAA lost all credibility when they let Duke off after Coach K's investigation allegedly found no wrongdoing in the Zion case. Which I think only entailed K asking one of his assistants if Zion took money to come Durham. This was after K told the assistant he is not under oath and will not be taking a polygraph.
