It matters. I will also not matter in the long run. Self leaves Kansas one day. And they will suck. Meanwhile we will still be here. And still be our historic selves.
What makes them any more likely than us to "suck" if/when we move on from Cal lol?

UNC is my example. We sucked for two years as well. KU chokes with self. Can’t wait to see what they do without him.

I mean, just like us it comes down to getting the hire right, I dont know what makes them more likely to get it wrong than us?

It doesn't matter. That's what people who love Cal more than the program will say.
THIS ! ! ! But when it happens it will be poetically fitting that such a blemish on our storied program will have been imposed upon the program by the galactically arrogant and thoroughly mediocre basketball coach that is John Calipari.

Question. Say KU finishes the season 5 wins ahead of UK. Would you exchange their history for UK’s?
You're downplaying the years of hard work our players put in to gain us that lead.

That's being a bad fan on your part, but is not surprising. I don't even think you believe half of what you write. You play the contrarian role. It's what you do.

Deflect and don’t answer the question. It’s what you do.

Kansas may very well pass us up at some point this season.

We will take it back from them though.

Maybe.

I think Kansas takes it and never looks back, especially with their conference about to get much weaker once Oklahoma and Texas leave.
We will get it back if we continue to recruit the way we have been with this updated staff.

Not to mention, the ghost of de Sousa hasn’t began haunting them yet. May take another year or 3 but they are looking at a very real possibility of vacated wins.

I have the lead by UK as three wins. UK started the season +4 and currently has only one less win. Kansas had a game cancelled which presumably will be made up in some way in the future.

Call me when you have a Cals record.

I ain’t overly happy with him but facts and numbers say different. Incompetent? Let me know when you can win Top 25 road games without two of your best players and your sniper being locked down.
Of all the stupid arguments one reads on the internet, this one is near the top of the moronic heap.

So only NCAA coaches can see that Calipari has gotten fat and lazy and is a mere shell of his former self?

Like I said, among the dumbest argument techniques one will encounter on the internet.

Serious question, not trolling...did we have all time win record win Cal took the job?

I haven't updated this page in a number of years but the below charts give you an idea of where the all-time wins lead stood when Cal took the job for the 2009-10 season (2010 on the chart) and how it's fluctuated since that time.

Remember at the time Cal took the job there was serious concern at the start of the season which team would hit the 2000 win mark first, UK or North Carolina. As it turned out, UNC faltered badly at exactly the wrong time.

The record matters. Don't deflect, Ed666.
It is laughable that people hate Calipari so much. He over took Kansas and UNC in all time wins.
But as hater Son of Saul says the record matters. Too bad Son of Saul doesn't realize that Kentucky basketball has by far the best winning percentage of all time. that is what truly matters.

Kansas has played more than 120 more games than Kentucky, but I guess haters don't want to bring that up.

He’s an agenda poster. He picks and chooses things that fit his agenda. To me those are the worst fans. It’s been very quiet since the ND loss. But it’s a fact there is a small group on here, they hope for a loss so they bash and troll. It’s the same posters.

UK first took the overall lead in all-time wins around 1968, which was around the time they were the first program to achieve 1,000 victories.

Since then, they have held onto the lead except for a few years in the early to mid 90's when UNC overtook them. But since 1996 UK has been in the lead. So it's incorrect to say Calipari "overtook" Kansas and UNC. UK was in the lead when Cal took the job, although as already noted UNC was extremely close at the time UK hit 2000 victories.

Again, for anyone interested in seeing how the all-time wins race has fared over the decades, they can check out the following page. There's a lot of unexpected names of schools that were in the lead or in the top 10 at any given time. For example Temple, Yale, Fordham, Penn, Washington, Kansas, Oregon State, Kentucky and North Carolina have all held the overall lead at one point or another.

I’ve always been impressed and appreciative of the effort you put in to your tracking of the program. Thank you for that! I’m certain it’s not easy.
