Alex,

You have given the BBN and UK many memorable moments over the last 4 years. You've not only stayed all four years when you could have easily left after your freshman year, but you've also been a terrific student. You have been a perfect role model during you time at UK and have never had any problems. You put just as much work in classroom as you do on the court. It's saddening to see you go. Your four years have flown by it seems.

Thank you Alex for four years dunks, defense and many other memories. I wish you had four more years and would love to have a player like you on UK's team every year.

Good luck in the SEC & NCAA tournaments and even more so during your NBA journey!

AP will be one of my all-time favorite Cats. He had his ups and downs on the court and was riddled with injuries, but he always did things the right way and conducted himself with dignity and class. He should be a role model for other young men who aspire to be high level basketball players.

Thank you, Alex Poythress. We love you and will miss you when you move on to the next stage in your life. You will be successful in whatever you do, and I somehow feel like I'm better for having watched you play the last for years.

Best wishes, and keep being who you are. The world is a better place with you in it.

Thank you Alex for being a great person, great player, great teammate, and great representative of the University of Kentucky and state of Kentucky as an adopted son. You showed admirable perseverance through injuries and other struggles, and you kept battling and never gave up. That's what it means to be a Wildcat and a part of Big Blue Nation.

Now please, for this your final post-season.... SHOW US THE BEAST! [winking]

Thanks to Alex for being a great representative of what it means to be a "UK Wildcat" and thanks also to his parents, they have raised a very good young man, that doesn't happen by accident, best of luck to both in the future.

Well said OP. Poy has been one of my favorite Cats. He's worked through injuries over his four years. He's had a lot of up and downs but always handled things with class. A tremendous student and a tremendous person. Thank you for being a Cat.
