Late in the game is a bad time to lose momentum. Texas actually outplayed Alabama most of the game but Alabama just comes at you and comes as you. You can't score FGs against them and expect to win.

Credit to Texas' defense. They did an awesome job keeping them in the game with one qb hurt (who was looking quite good) and the other qb hobbled affecting how well he could throw.
