The 2 teams are pretty evenly matched based on the on the field play this year. I don’t give a sh*t what the recruiting rankings say at this point in the year. You’re not much better than we are (you actually have not proven to be any better at all than we are and possibly worse) and we are at home. You’re welcome to go put your trailer mortgage on Alabama -6 and see how it turns out for you if you’re that confident. There are people that have actually been to classes on the campus of the school they root for that make a lot of money setting lines for people like you.

They absolutely could boat race us, they are way more talented. If they play great and we are flat......it can get ugly. We're also good enough to pull the upset. I do expect us to play well and make it a close game though. Hoping for no injuries and a well played game by the good guys.

My impression of Simmons Saturday was that he wasn’t reading much of anything, but that he’s a talented passer. I need to go back and watch some film though because in the heat of it I may have been too harsh.

When you throw as often as he did to one, albeit great, WR, it smells like you know where you’re going with the ball before the snap. And he threw into blanket coverage numerous times, we just couldn’t get a pick.

I haven’t watched enough of KR to judge him yet.

My very biased opinion of Keelon Russell from the SCAR game is that he is the typical post-2013 Bama QB that sits back with good protection from his o-line and throws bombs to speedy receivers.

Goes without saying our offense has to execute at a high level, but I also think you need their young QB to get rattled on the road and for them to have just a general uneven performance like you’ve seen from them under DeBoer.

He’s lost some absolute stinkers since he’s been there so this wouldn’t even be close to his worst loss at Bama. But I think them being a 6 point favorite is perfectly justifiable. I think this is the best team they’ve had in the post-Saban era.

Agree with all of this. People have short memories though. They played their best game of the season last week against a completely demoralized and dysfunctional SC team. They played a terrible first half against UK and a terrible overall game against FSU. If we rattle their cage early, and expose them for not being a Saban-Bama team, things will get really interesting.

Tide fans should be nervous. Alabama is ranked in the Top 10 and gets to play an even higher ranked Georgia team the next week to prove whether or not they are still relevant.

They can't afford to look like MSU is even in their league. If it's not a blow out, they will have absolutely failed.
