This is as good as any news we have had this offseason-a great offseason it has been. I love Gabe, too.

Good decision. My advice (worth nothing) for any returning player on the fence is go through spring ball and then decide. Allen could be the main guy if his knee recovers.

Nod to EJ Barthel who surely helped ‘recruit’ Ajay to stay.

We need to keep that competition elevated.

He looked promising, but he rushed for 94 yards, and now he is the next Lawrence Phillips. Relax. don't blow your wad yet until you give him some more time. Everyone is used to losing football for the last 6 years and it doesn't take much to get someones rocks off. Give the kid time to prove himself. Damn.

Impoverished?
Implicated in a crime?
Impossible?
Improved?
Imported?
Improvisational?

Or just plain imp?
Per Wikipedia-
Imps are often described as troublesome and mischievous more than seriously threatening or dangerous, and as lesser beings rather than more important supernatural beings. The attendants of the devil are sometimes described as imps. They are usually described as lively and having small stature.

It was a collarbone, required surgery...imo he looked the best of all the backs early in the year - seemed to be pretty explosive.
we can't have qb's and rb's forever on injury vacation

Good Ajay is staying. We need all RBs to stay, and maybe get a couple more from the portal.
I don’t believe the staff is looking for anymore running backs if the top 3 are returning next year plus with the addition of Ives..

Absolutely huge retaining Allen. Biggest re-recruitment thus far.

I wouldn't be surprised if Allen ends up starting as next season goes. Maybe even entering the season should he be healthy and built back up in time for spring and/or summer. Grant has a slight edge there, and as the returning starter.

Grant and Allen are more than serviceable and can produce with better line play. Ervin and Rahmir can also play.

Rhule has to be licking his chops a bit. If he can get the line to be a little nasty, we should be in a pretty good place on O.

And then he has to put a D on the field, that likely won't have him nearly as excited.

Unfortunately you're probably right. We have some potential dudes at some key positions, but we're a bit thin and young on defense otherwise.

The problem is I can't remember a recent where all the RBs stayed healthy for all the games. We go into the season looking like we have massive depth and then somehow it becomes a problem during the season.
