I see this going one of two ways. He commits to Rutgers which would be awesome, or he starts posting the same question marks with the other teams in the mix. Trying to create some buzz and suspense regarding his commitment.

Apple-oranges comparison because wrestling is an individual sport AND a team sport. Those players helped their teams be better but a wrestler can win championships even if his team is otherwise mediocre. By scoring points at a tourney, an individual wrestler will certainly add to the team totals.
Ferrari is the #1 overall recruit in the country. Wrestlers with his pedigree are usually multiple-time AAs and National Champions. He is ranked higher than Suriano or Ashnault coming out of high school.
I have finally broken the adolescent emoji code. In our tweet he included an Eyetalian flag, in the OSU tweet he didn't. Clearly we lead over OSU as he feels a connection here to ancestry. As for the other OSU, if he tweets a horse or cowboy than I think we're screwed.
My feeling he goes elsewhere as the family being in Texas makes NJ a big issue. I think he goes to Okie State or Okie U

Agreed!!! Beating them several years ago was a big deal... Now? Its what we're supposed to do!! That's how far we have come as a program!!
And, I'd add that Rutgers is now on the radar of many of these big studs. Maybe to a lesser degree, we're also experiencing the same thing at Northern Iowa.

Seems like that list is directly proportional to who has the biggest need, not necessarily from a particular weight perspective, but from a team perspective.
PSU will have Beard and Nevills at 197 and heavy, respectively, plus the remainder of the 2018 class filling in elsewhere.
Ohio State has a need at 197, with Moore graduating this year, but Kerkvliet is at heavy. They also have had great recruiting classes recently.
Oklahoma State brings back a pretty strong contingent at other weights, but by the time the 2020 recruiting class rolls in, they're going to need 197/HWT guys, with White, Weigel and others gone.
Nebbie is in the same boat as Oklahoma State at the upper weights, with their upper weights going away, either after 19/20 or 20/21, so that would be a good fit.
RU has had a great recruiting season, but with Nick being gone after this year, as well as your upper weights clearing out this year or next, you're really going to need some young guys to step up in a hurry, and Ferrari could be one of those.

Yes, we are on top of the mat. 2,200 capacity. If Schwab wasn't flexing, you'd see my smiling face up in the balcony. It's been my spot for over 20 years.
Basketball hasn't been played there for decades. Women's volleyball only moved into the new arena about 10 years ago, but they played in the West gym up until that point.
Believe it or not, the gym is one of the biggest recruiting magnets that we have at UNI. Prospective athletes loved to see the excitement in a packed house, and for a lot of these Iowa kids, it resembles their home gyms, in many ways.

not sure if he is every going to wrestle 197 again...who knows.

I wouldn't sweat it. With the recent success, we are undoubtedly a viable option for any recruit. It should come down to where he is more comfortable, which is exactly what you want. I don't think there is much in common as far as the general vibe within the program goes, so whatever he decides, I wish him the best. Obviously I hope he feels RU is the better fit, but if he chooses Ok St., well, that is probably better for him. The schools are not in any way interchangeable.
