I met your buddy, Tony Green, today. Good guy. He’s playing in the Tennessee Golf Assoc Super Senior Am which is hosted by my club. He shot 70 today in the 2nd round and is in the hunt.

He worked in the pro shop at Augusta. Get him to tell you some of his stories. Played a practice round with Jack, funny story. I never knew until this year, that the year he played with Nicklaus was 1975 right before that year's tournament.
Unfortunately, I won’t see him today for the final round. He shot 70-72 and is in 2nd place two back.
He and I have been fortunate enough to win a few things together. Don't work too hard today!

Tony finished 3rd. Shot 75 today and was +1 for the event. Solid showing. He told me yesterday he is struggling with his putter. Missed a bunch of short ones.
Wish I could’ve played and beat those old fukers asses. But in all seriousness, there are some really great players in the field. Two US Mid Am former champions, a US Am runner up( 3 Masters appearances in the field), several qualifiers for US Opens, a Canadian Am runner up. You have to play well to beat these guys. The leader on the regular senior tournament was -9 after two rounds.
Tim Jackson led the US Senior open after two rounds at Crooked Stick. One of the top amateurs of all time. About a month ago, we were playing the golf course at Golden Horeshoe, par 71. Vinnie Giles shot 67, 8 under his age.
I'm 63, soon to turn 64 and ours is 50. I'm missing the Va/carolinas this year due to 4 guys under 55 making the team. Next year, it's by the Carolinas rules and 55 and over.
I was getting ready to go to the TGA website. I invited tim to dinner when I made the field at the US Senior Open in Detroit. I had my family with me, probably scared him off.
I have a good few weeks of golf coming up. Next weekend it’s Sebonack and Shinnecock. The next weekend it’s both at Winged Foot, Hudson National, Friars Head, Westhampton and The Bridge. I should be at 80 of the top 100 by the end of the month.
That's as impressive as it gets. AS long as they keep building new ones, you will have to keep playing to just stay even.
