Air Raid last in rushing, mainly from attemps

3 yards/rush ain't impressive. We have a few opponents coming up who give up tons of yards on the ground. They have nothing to worry about from us. I just hope the Air Raid is effective against those run-porous defenses that get to concentrate almost exclusively on our passing game. It beat the Aggies but not the Tigahs, beat NC State but not Memphis and almost lost to La Tech. Maybe against Arky and Ole Miss and Kentucky we'll continue to eat up clock to keep their offenses off the field. Hopefully enough long drives result in red zone tds too. If my QB wasn't leading the conf, in passiing I'd be a lot more concerned. But I agree there are huge opportunities in the run game, especially in goal to go when you have less than 12-13 yds of field to work with from a passing stand point. I don't think anyone really gets fooled by spreading the and handing off to a lone back. Why not roll out a jumbo package or try some direct snaps when you're on the goal line?

Some of it is we probably have a higher sack to RB rush attempt ratio than most teams since we pass so much. Another is that we run more at the goal line, which caps our attempts and makes them tougher. Not saying we’re a good rushing team but the numbers are skewed a bit
