Dee wrestled a little sloppy, but when you are dominate it doesn't make any difference. 1 more takedown would be a tech but Dee did not want that and set up a throw for the pin instead. Facundo got the tech with 7 takedowns. Ryder with a major, but for the last 3 minutes he seemed tired and did nothing. Not impressive. Merril looked so small but won by major with 4 takedowns. Doucette was dominant especially later in the match and got a tech fall. I think he broke his opponent.
Just 2. He went neutral for a free point so not to risk giving a third caution. ... Then gave up a late takedown

Routledge in at 157 taking on sophomore EJ Beloncik who went to Heritage Hall. Was in a good position to score but got called for potentially dangerous. Taken down once and nearly twice more before the end of the first. 3-1 Beloncik going into the second period

I said Tompkins beat Shumate and Brophy but had a bad loss . I have said Cody needs to trust his offense and make wrestling happen. Hopefully he continues doing that.
Agreed. I’m hoping this dual will be confidence boosters for both Zack and Cody.

Figs got lucky the official not sure who it was but my guess is he's not experienced in D1 most top D1 guys let that go.
I live north of Denver and really wanted to go to this one but I had a conflict and couldn’t do it.
Also have never been to the Academy so OSU wrestling at AF is something I keep watching for on the schedule. Hopefully I can take my son when they come back in a couple of years.
