Plus, it’s a huge bonus that he’s already seen live action with this team for a game (or two).
With that in mind, they’ve already had some experience with on field communication, etc, so he should be able to jump back in more seamlessly

Agreed. Great news that he’s eligible this week. But, the week to week bs is freaking ridiculous & it isn’t fair to the players or the schools. It has to be maddening for the coaches. Just make a freaking decision & end it.

It’s beyond stupid to target the 2022 class like they’ve done throughout this dumba$$ process, anyway. They should’ve just given them all the extra year unless they’d already exhausted 5 years. Instead, they chose the absolute worst way to handle it, just like practically every other major decision they’ve made since I’ve been following sports.

The idea they gave about players losing starting positions or roster spots as the reason behind this decision was ludicrous on it's face. They've expanded the rosters to what, now it's 100 or something? So losing a roster spot or scholarship was always ********. But the idea that they're having a sad in the NCAA headquarters over whether some kid is first or second string is just too much to take. The only reason for any of this is that they are like an abuser in a relationship and it makes them furious when the abused partner asserts any independence.

Stein said he practiced but did not get a lot of practice reps because his eligibility was not secure. He will be getting more practice reps this week.
