Adjusted Max Preps Rankings

Any who can answer...Can you tell me what the NCHSAA does to "adjust" the Max Prep rankings? The adjusted rankings list is located on the NCHSAA website but I didn't find an explanation. The adjusted rankings have Wake Forest 1 and Richmond 2 with Mallard Creek 3.

I know "they" take out margin of victory to whatever extent that is...

It looks like they adjusted some of them by putting each school’s name in a box and then randomly pulling them out.

Btango provided me with the news article from the Charlotte Obs. as to how it works. The company that does the MaxPreps rankings provides an adjusted ranking to the NCHSAA that leaves out margin of victory. Each round will be seeded according to the adjusted rankings.
