I'm actually referring to an "official" Adidas ad campaign. Someone posted some pics of it a few months ago but looks like they've released a commercial. It doesn't reference who he is but I recognized him. Can't find it on YouTube and my gen x a** doesn't know hot to post TikTok or reels. Guess you found another one.

I think a lot of people’s infatuation with Nike was the interlocking. Now that we know Nike owning the interlocking was a lie and we got that, people don’t care as much.

I dont care for one over the other as far as quality is concerned.....I just wish Adios would hire some of Nike's creative talent for uniform and clothing designs....

Had to look. It was two guys. The winners pace equates to 4:30 per mile. The majority of Americans couldn't run that for 200 yards much less 27.2 miles.

Those guys are incredible athletes...

Lol, I knew that didn't look right. The pace calculation is right fwiw, just typed the distance wrong.

Here's a guy who runs a little trying to maintain that pace. He lasts less than a minute. It's 13.1 mph...

Do we know it was a lie? Trademark rights expire if the owner stops using the mark. Maybe Nike initially retained ownership but no longer has it?

I thought it was weird all along that our deal with Nike would give them ownership of the mark, but I never found anything definitive one way or the other. No one ever filed to register the mark.

I've never seen an photo of recruit on an official visit showing up to campus in Adidas. It's easier to overlook the apparel provider now everyone is getting paid, but Nike gear is still king with young athletes.
