Good for all involved. Now FH can go find a PG that fits his system and Woods can go to a school where he can shine.
umm..I think he would have fit very well and could have shone in Hoiberg's system. I hope Hoiberg has some some guys lined up to fill some spots.

Good luck to him... If he didn’t think he would be a good player In Hoieberg system, it’s better that we part ways now..

I suspect it is more about not having a relationship with Hoiberg than it is about fit. Other schools who competed for his signature can swoop in and convince a guy pretty easily that he should flip if he can get his release. This is not good for us. Saying anything else is just spin. IF we can flip somebody else then fine but until we do this hurts.

It doesn't matter what it is about. Not to use an overused cliche, but trust the process. You weren't going to go through a regime change and keep everyone. Never happen. Quick, name a guy that decided not to come when Frost was hired and that we are missing today. I'm sure some of you can name a guy, I can't.

Still makes us short a body. Losing Hunter last year cost us a guy who would have helped us IMMENSELY. This is the problem with program coaching turnover. Hopefully we're done with that in our basketball program for a long long time.

What will hurt is if Rob turns pro...we’ll recover from Adams-Woods decision to leave..

If you're ecstatic about Hoiberg, like it seems most are, you accept the collateral damage from a coaching change and move on. Sure it hurts, but there is no alternative. Kids leave and decommit when coaches are fired. Just the way it is. Raise your hand if you want Miles back so we can keep this kid. Anyone?

I wasn't saying that it is the end of the program... Just wanted to pass along the info I saw. It was also noted that Gates was his lead recruiter and is still in the running for an assistant spot with Hoiberg. Woods-Adams also said he would still consider Nebraska, so if Gates is retained he could jump back on board.

Good news is the season isnt even over yet, for some.. we are in a dead period but FH has a lot of time for he and his staff(once fully in place) to make some hay and get some players in here. Little early to be panicked

It's a rebuild. Turnover happens during the early stages. The whole team could leave and I'd still have faith in Hoiberg to get it going in a few years. This isn't a quick fix situation but I'd rather the roster get turned over if that's what it takes to get going in the right direction.

Someone on the other thread said Amir is gone, but I can't find any mention of it and he hasn't confirmed where he got that from. That's a guy I really hope stays.

I could be wrong here but he was signed, with that said doesn’t that mean other schools can NOT talk to him??? I could be wrong but I could have sworn, once they sign, they are then off limits. I’m guessing this was either a relationship thing or Hoiberg didn’t like what he saw.

Has to be granted a release. Then it's ok

Well, I see now on omaha.com that Adams-Woods has reopened his recruitment to "see what's out there" but is still considering Nebraska.

He's from upstate NY. The new staff knows all about him. I think NU is looking in another direction. Let's wait and see what they come up with.

I am pretty confident Hoiberg and staff won’t have a problem filling the spot. It is likely there will be some new guys on campus as early as next weekend for the Spring game.

Other schools contact their head coach and let the player know that they're interested. That's what was going on with Green too. I think Altman was one of the guys after him.

Honest question, why all of a sudden have you anointed yourself the board tough guy? I don't remember you being like this a few months ago. But anyway, lemme get this straight - you're here for "credible info"? LOL. You probably get your unbiased political news from Facebook?

The way I understand it he just opened his recruitment. But still is interested in NU. Not sure if NU will still be interested however.

Has there ever been a recruit who requested a release from his LOI, and then signed again with that same school? I don't think it ever happens.
