Might be Adam set a time-limit on playing in the CFL and getting on a NFL roster.
From what I could find :The average CFL salary is estimated to be in the range of $70,000 to $130,000 annually. If Korsak's salary was in that range, he might have decided he could earn more doing something else

there comes a time, for those that are intelligent, that a player realizes they are never going to be a multi millionaire from the game and every year they pursue it is a year they are losing in the real career.
Funny was looking into why he retired & ran into this quote.
-Outside of returner Janarion Grant, the Riders have done pretty well at stopping returns over the last few years and a lot of that had to do with the placement of punts.
Evidently, he is tearing up the league on Returns.
After leading the league in punt return yards, punt return average, and total return touchdowns as well as finishing second in kickoff return average, Grant was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player.[18]
