I appreciate his honesty and straight forward explanation. Calling out where we are lacking.

Sometimes, no matter how much lipstick you put on the pig, EVERYONE still knows it's a pig. Tulsa is most likely the worst program in the top division of NCAA football, you can't hide that.

At this point, it's only up for the program because any lower and... well, it's LOWER

Uh... no. We have our struggles, sure. But athletic department-wise, program-wise, facilities-wise, we are not anywhere near the bottom. You want to see bottom level programs? Look at UMass, La Tech, FIU, ULM, Kent State, and many others.

We have some things to fix, but let's not act like it's not fixable

Hell even Temple, in our own conference, is "reevaluating the football program" to see if they even want to continue playing in FBS or at all. We are not in that boat... or even close. Moore specifically said in his email to donors that playing top level football at TU is a priority and is here to stay.

With as many outsiders who actively try to bring TU down, we don't need our own fans doing the same thing.

Are those programs just being realistic?

All those institutions are ponying up big $$$ to stay in fbs for a reason. If there weren’t any benefits to it, then you’d see more teams dropping down to fcs than you do fcs paying ($5m just to move to fbs from fcs now) to come up a division.

We aren’t even in the same conversation as those other institutions either, so no, we’re not the worst program in the country by any means. 🙄
