Tells you he wants to squelch the GS talk momentum and get the spin out. Bummer

I believe Hobbs made the right choice for Men's BB but got sold a bill of goods on the Urban Meyer tree. He came from Seton Hall which I dont think has a football team!!! That lack of experience led to the bad choice.

I enjoyed the day and weather was great.

Sounds like you are content with a day out of the house and some nice weather. How special. The rest of us would actually like a competitive program at some point.

That’s the Rutgers “old guard” thought process for you. And that’s fine if we were playing a Patriot or Colonial League schedule. But in the B1G we are just a meatbag for the next weeks heavyweight opponent.

I’m done.

Looked and sounded like an FCS or high school state championship game watching on TV. Players family members could be heard screaming individually on 3rd downs.
That’s not true, early in the game it was loud...after IU rattled off 20 unanswered points I’m sure it was quieter

I stand by what I said. In the second half it sounded like the telecast of an FCS game.

We won the tailgate! Another perfect tailgating day! The dude in the red sweater standing behind us is State Senator Candidate Bob Hugin (running against Menendez).

Abro, part of why we can’t get rid of Ash is because Hobbs and the BOG are terrified of what Trenton might do. They make a huge stink about Rutgers buying out bad coaches ... even though that’s what happens all over college football, and even if it’s absolutely necessary .
How does your senator friend feel about a buyout ?

Hobbs was there today unlike many posters in this thread. I saw him walk by my seats in the top row and didn't recognize him until he was halfway down to the field. I yelled out to him and he stopped, turned around, and climbed all the way back up to shake hands with my wife, nephew and me. His words? "Keep the faith." I said, "We're here."

Some people just aren't chronic whiners, I guess.

We are in the B1G, with a massive investment to support a program at that level. If you are content with some sunny weather and a day out of the house, results be damned, then we should join the Patriot league.

How can we as a group let just a couple of individuals bury us ? There has to be something that can be done here. Hobbs and this head coach do not represent me in any way ... they are soft, scared and weak .
Please tell me we can make an impact as supporters of the state’s football team.

your response should have been, 'it's not faith father but coaching. My faith is strong, Rutgers has been her for over 200 yrs but Ash needs to be gone after 3"

Stork, but was that really all you needed ? The guy who has a huge hand in ruining our state’s football program shakes your hand and says “keep the faith” and that makes everything ok?
We really do let these clowns get away with murder around here.

Actually clever guy that he is, he was back down the stairs before the word "here" had completely left my lips. I mean he's quick.

I have to say, he had some big balls walking around the stadium today. He has a good poker face because if he is alarmed by Ash and the horrid attendance, he didn't show it.

Hobbs is a mistake, no fb experience and doesn't understand what benefits a successful program can bring to a university. PSU is PSU because of football and the Big, was fking safety school in the 80s and 90s. Florida was a joke academically and now look. OSU, prior to the 90s it was a glorified community college. Hobbs doesn't have a clue.......

wait till the November take over at High Point Stadium.
Home games for Michigan and State Penn. Isn't it great that the child molester enablers are planning their white out game for our stadium?
Oh brother - people still blaming Flood and now Pernetti - total joke.
I know, it never ends.
Be thankful people still care enough to whine. Complete apathy is next.
It's already showing up. Today's turnout is an indicator of that.

Oh brother - people still blaming Flood and now Pernetti - total joke. Hobbs gave this clown a seven year guaranteed contract. It is all on Hobbs! Wait until season ticket renewals come in next year if Ash is not gone. Historic decline and it will cost the school millions more - far more the this clowns current contact.
..there's 9.8 million reasons that he won't be fired in December...well before season tickets are requested to be renewed...

I'm sure those yelling at recruits to stay in NJ couldn't get to Piscataway today..great weather and a dec not game...

Nebraska has 364 sell outs of a 90k stadium thru thick n thin and RU can't average 40k..

you know it's bad when another team is planning a white out for an away game here. All those big game will have far more fans of the opposing teams than RU fans and Hobbs will see nothing wrong there.

I honestly think neither he nor the administration care about football. Just my opinion. Part of that is because even when we invested in football with GS the only success we saw was third tier bowl wins. If we had UCF level success I’d bet the administration wouldn’t be so careless about it.

Don't forget that Ash lied to Hobbs (and everyone else). He came in claiming he wanted a high scoring, exciting offense.

How was hobbs supposed to know Scared Coach Ash would go the exact opposite way after only 1 year?

I'm sure if he was truthful and said "I'm going to run a safe, slow, plodding, outdated meat-head offense" both Hobbs and the fans would have had doubts about the hire.
